Islamic Rhetoric: The Transcendence of Allah

First of all, according to an Islamic rhetoric, there is only one god who is Allah, and he is the only one who is transcend and absolute. Therefore, it is hard to say that apostles such as Muhammad, Abraham, Moses and Jesus are admired by people because they are one of gods. Abraham, Moses and Jesus are admired by Islamic people because they received a revelation from God and truly obeyed it. To sum up in a word, Islam is a religion that allowed to obey only one god which is Allah, and revealed to people by a prophet named Muhammad.

Secondly, Muhammad is a person who received the Koran’s revelations and founded Islam as a prophet. Muhammad was born in Mecca, and when he became 12, he followed his uncle, and served as a caravan trader. While

he was traveling, Muhammad met his wife Khadija, and they got married. After being husband and wife, they often went to caves in the suburb and meditate together. Finally, when Muhammad became 40, he received a divine revelation from god. Also, one day, Muhammad was being lost in meditation in the cave as usual, an angel named Gabriel came to him, and asked Muhammad to recite a poem, but Muhammad refused. After several offers, he accepted the angel’s offer. Later, the poem he was reciting became Quran. While Muhammad was staying in Mecca, he criticized the upper class’s dissipation and their party culture. As a result, Muhammad was eulogized by people in the middle class and young people who were not in the key group in the society. Later, the upper class get dissatisfied with these people and their gathering, so they started persecuting those people. As a result, the people who followed Muhammad leaved Mecca, and moved to Medina. After people moved to Medina, Muhammad successfully showed his ability on leading people, and finally, he started a thriving Islamic community in Medina.
Thirdly, as God order to do so, Muhammad, as a prophet of god, moved from Mecca to Medina to get away from the people who persecuted him, and to unite Islam. It is called Hegira. Hegira is important to Islamic people since it was the starting point to build the Islam Empire. The immigration he made at the time is dangerous since he had to abandon his family in Mecca. However, when he arrived to Medina, he became a leader and successfully unite the Islam community. Finally, Muhammad went back to Mecca, and conquered Mecca. Jews and Arabs had converted to Islam and Islam has united.
Fourthly, Muhammad, as a prophet of God, devoted his life to mission work. One day, Muhammad gathered people to a top of a small hill. He said he saw an army moving beyond the mountain. Also, he asked people if they believe what he just said. People said they believe what just Muhammad said. Once again, Muhammad said “As a prophet I warn you. We are going to be punished if we don’t follow the god”. However, no one wanted to listen to him, but started to say a bad word on Muhammad. Even though people incur a censure to Muhammad, he didn’t stop, but tried harder to convince people. Muhammad said “I as a person who believe in god’s the day of doom, I will treat people with good intentions, and will never say words out of pure spite.” He finally proved many of his warnings prophetic, and people started to respect him as a prophet.
