A Utopia is a place is a place where everything is perfect. This is a very difficult topic because the definition of perfect can be perceived in many ways. In our books we read, some people might consider that a utopia, but they do not have any individual right. Many people believe that we are getting closer to a utopia, and others believe that we are getting farther away from a utopia. I believe that we are moving farther away from a utopia politically, by violence, and by the disrespect of fellow humans. First off, I believe that in our country, politics are splitting people apart. Today in school, I see people associating themselves with people based on their political views. Today too often I see people discriminated against based on their political views. I have heard people been called racist and sexist, or a communist nutjob. I think that a lot of this derives from the politicians themselves. Many politicians believe that it is their way or the high way, and I think this has reflected on the American citizens. People believe that the answer to a problem is always to start a war, and that is a major way we are moving farther away from a Utopia. There are always news reports about shootings in the streets of Chicago and New York all the time. This is not because of the guns, this is because of the mentality of people that violence is the answer to everything. Without these people there to pull the trigger, the guns would have not been fired. There are certain circumstances that war is necessary. For example, if North Korea would use nuclear warfare on America, then we would have no choice but to start a war. In a Utopia, there would never be any war, and there would be world
