Dresden R. Sendra The Fight It’s 2346, Sept/25 and the U.S.A is fighting the Russians for territory in the Middle East. The U.S. needed more men, so they called in Lukuss, Ruin, and Ruffus; AKA, DELTA squad. The best of the best at targeted explosions, stealth operations, communication skills, etc. They can be so incink that it's like they share one mind and they know everything about each other, they can get into arguments sometimes but they are the best of friends and they protect each other like brothers even if that means taking a bullet for each other. Lukuss was a former assassin and was recruited because of his ability to move so stealth like that you’d would never know that his is there. He also is excellent with a sniper rifle, his past is ruff be he is getting past it, Ruin and Ruffus are his family. His favorite weapon are the Locus ( sniper rifle ) and a Crossbow. Ruin was the best Navy Seal but on one of his missions he lost both his arms was given robotic arm that could be used for hand to hand combat, his team then was chosen to become a super soldier meaning the his body will become ten times better so his speed, strength, accuracy, and …show more content…
They acknowledge the warning and go to their posts. Lukuss goes to the clock tower and look around then spots the enemy coming from the East it looked like there were at least 40 men and at least 7 men in heavy armored suits. They were starting to come in through the gate and were a few yards away from the clock tower, so as soon as Lukuss could see the enemy he throw a threat grenade ( shows where the enemies were through walls and they would be highlighted red ) to show Ruin and Ruffus where they were coming from. Lukuss then starts sniping at the
The Marine Raider Battalions developed an elite fighting force within an elite service. There still exist today the elite units of the Marine Corps, such as the Force Reconnaissance Battalions and the Special Operation Capable Units, but the Raider Battalions were the first specialist of the amphibious doctrines. Although the amphibious landing has been preformed throughout the ages since the invention of the water-bearing vessels, the Marine Raider Battalions tested and perfected this combat operation. Although the two Raider Commanders had very different views on how to prepare their marine...
Thank you Vivian. “I will never quit. My nation expects me to be physically harder and mentally stronger than my enemies. If knocked down i will get back up, every time. I will draw on every remaining ounce of strength to protect my teammates and to accomplish our mission. I am never out of the fight.”-Marcus Luttrell. This is one of my favorite quotes about the Marcus Luttrell. Marcus Luttrell is a ex navy-seal. He is a glorified fighter that has participated in many operations and battles. But, his most famous operation was Operation Redwings. Marcus has always been a fighter. He started training for the navy seals when he was 14 with ex-army veteran Billy Shelton, survived Operation Redwings, and fought to stay alive despite his injuries he sustained in this operation.
Quickly after receiving the message, the fleet heads straight to the coast of Afghanistan to begin bombing missions. During his time in Afghanistan, Fick plays a role in two separate missions. First, he leads his platoon by air into enemy territory to defend an area while a cargo helicopter retrieves a crashed Black Hawk. Second, Fick spends scorching hot days and frigid nights defending an airfield and the surrounding area in Jacobabad for a course of around 3 months. On Christmas morning, Fick’s platoon packs up gear and heads back to the USS Dubuque to be shipped back home. While on the two week trip back home, Fick is approached by Eric Dill, The Marine First Recon Commander, and is asked to join the prestigious group. Recon is a highly trained, specialized small group of individuals ready to accomplish anything that is thrown at
Ludomir is the main connection for Curtis to the Russian mob organ stealing operation. He would be represented by the devil in bearskin. Just like the devil, he helps the main character (especially financially) and acts like his friend. However he and the mob always end up getting their way somehow.
In the thirty-eight years of the United States Naval Submarine Service no United States submarine had ever sunk an enemy vessel. With the ignition of the Second World War the poorly equipped and poorly trained Silent Service, nicknamed for the limited access of the media to the actions and achievements of the submarines, would be thrust into the position American submariners had longed for. The attack on Pearl Harbor left the United States Navy with few options for retribution. The three remaining aircraft carriers were to be “the last line of defense.” Commander Stuart S. Murray made the precarious situation clear to his skippers, captains, upon sending them on their first war patrol. He stressed the importance of smart sailing by warning them not “to go out there and win the Congressional Medal of Honor in one day. The submarines are all we have left.” We entered the war with 55 submarines, 27 at Pearl Harbor and 28 at Cavite in the Philippines. At first our submarine strategies lacked ingenuity and failed to use our subs to their full potential. United States subs were assigned to reconnaissance, transporting supplies, and lifeguard duty, picking up downed airmen and sailors. They were even, on occasion, sent to rescue high profile Americans on the run from the enemy or from islands under enemy siege. Although their ability was, unfortunately, wasted in our entrance to the Pacific Theater the Silent Service would soon gain the recognition its men yearned for.
In past history, heroes come in many different facets of life. The military has produced many of these heroes. Chris Kyle a United States Navy SEAL was one of those heroes. Chris grew up in various locations in Texas. His father worked for AT&T as a manager and they moved around frequently. Chris loved to fight as he stated “Somewhere along the way, I started sticking up for younger kids who were being picked on. I felt I had to look out for them. It became my duty. Maybe it began because I was looking for an excuse to fight without getting in trouble” (American Sniper, Chris Kyle, 21).
We are first introduced to Lieutenant Jimmy Cross and his 17 men platoon. They are stationed in Vietnam during the Vietnam war. We are taken through many of their missions and are given many insights from the main
The American Soldiers showing courage in the face of adversity during the raid has been evident throughout the research of this paper. From Cooks throwing boil pots of water, to Soldiers fighting with no shoes and half clothed. The adversary having planned and executed was not allowed to extract a devastating blow. This is a testament of the American Soldiers adaptability and courage.
The first thing we see is Christian Bale’s almost surreal beer belly, similar to an overdue pregnant stomach. He stands in front of a mirror and adjusting one of the most complex comb overs I have ever seen, which includes artful interweaving of glued hair extensions. Add to this a pair of smoked colored pilot glasses and a sophisticated outfit that screams out our worst nightmares of the late 1970s, and it is dangerously tempting to expect a continuation of a hard groomed freak show, populated by thoroughly ridiculous people who make and says ridiculous things. Especially as the second thing we see is one of Amy Adams countless, magnificently deep necklines. But if that's what we believe will happen, we will become thoroughly
...is just too hot for any of them to make it out alive. Lutrell, makes it down the hill and is rescued by a local and the battle continues in the town of the local as they defend him. The element of pain is shown in this movie, both physically and mentally and it shows how certain individuals can push through vast amounts of pain. The members of the squad are wounded and ultimately three of the four members are killed. The movie shows the pain that Lutrell is feeling and how he could push the physical and mental limitations to make it.
Sex, love, depression, guilt, trust, all are topics presented in this remarkably well written and performed drama. The Flick, a 2014 Pulitzer Prize winning drama by Annie Baker, serves to provide a social commentary which will leave the audience deep in thought well after the curtain closes. Emporia State Universities Production of this masterpiece was a masterpiece in itself, from the stunningly genuine portrayal of the characters of Avery and Rose, to the realism found within the set, every aspect of the production was superb.
Comedy films are often a tough sell in Hollywood. The humor that is popular here, The United States, usually does not translate well overseas. Many of the movies rely on sarcasm and overused jokes, which could translate differently overseas, and could even offend different cultures. So when a comedy movie goes big worldwide, it deserves all the attention it receives. The movie Airplane! Is a great example of a film that is well liked worldwide.
A League of Their Own (Marshall, 1992) explicitly characterizes an American era when a woman’s place was in the home. Even our modern perspective implicitly follows suit. Although women have gained rights and freedoms since the 1930’s, sexism remains prevalent in America. This film offers an illustration when men went to war and big business men utilized women as temporary replacements in factories, sports, and so on. Here, course concepts, such as gender socialization, gender expressions, role stereotypes, emotion expressions, and language, correspond to the film’s characters and themes.
...s the world to execute the Air Force mission at a moment’s notice. Being part of the 389th Fighter Squadron allows me to be able to conduct a variety of missions (close air support, defensive counter air, air interdiction) allowing me to contribute directly to the Air Force mission. My service to the Air Force adds directly to generation of air power and the execution of global strike and precision engagement anywhere at any time.
Director Peter Berg based this movie off of Marcus luttrell the survivor of Operation Red Wings. This powerful war film features actor Mark Walberg who portrays the real life situation of Marcus Lutrell. The movie is centered on patriotism and the struggles that the soldiers faced. Peter Berg displays the mental and physical suffering that soldiers go through during battle. The film begins with troops training preforming exercises, drills, and tests that regular individuals could not imagine. The beginning of the film is an important part in setting the tone that is seen throughout the movie. The producer sets the film up in a realistic manner that showcases morality, brotherhood, and honor.
