There are many places that I hold dear to my heart such as going up to the mountains to visit my grandma or going down to the Russian River and swimming in the freezing cold green river, or camping on the beach. But there is one particular place that stands out in my memory of adventuring as a child. We have gone to Mount Shasta during the times of snow and during times of intense heat which allowed me to experience both of the climates. I have been going there, to McCloud, which is North of Mt. Shasta, with family friends and with my family. In the center of a desert lies a rustic cabin with 3 bedrooms and a nice fireplace to cook marshmallows on and across down a steep hill is where the water gathers. I will never forget the trees covered in beautiful white and delicate snow or leaving a snow angel imprint. The reason for this place standing out in my memory is the water falls. They are so crystal clear and are organized into higher falls, middle falls, and lower falls. In order to get to these falls, it requires walking through some patches of free dirt through a hiking trail. I, myself love hiking. It helps me clear my head from responsibility that i have to worry about. To the left are picnic tables to sit and chat while on the right is a beautiful flowing river filled with little simple organisms. I remember going to one creek that was coming from the Sacramento River and I found quartz crystal inside the icy cold creek. Each waterfall that I went to in Mt Shasta impacted me greatly. The view for each of them was breathtaking from crystal clear water falls to ambiguous rocks below the water. I remember being able to see the fish as they swim underneath the icy cold water because the water is pure and wasn’t contaminated by human
