The women are suffering; but how about the men? Men are also experiencing form what the women are suffering. In this world, everyone is fighting for the rights of the women without realising that they are neglecting the men in the social aspects. This has also cause the misinterpretation of the real definition of feminism. The misinterpretation of feminism is becoming a major issue or problem that buries the inherent truth pertaining to the reality impact. The feminist movement which advocates the rights of women on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to be at par with men. The practice of imposing stereotypes upon men due to their inherent patriarchal supremacy leads to the burdens of fulfilling societal standards which men must bear and this is a prominent catalyst of misinterpretation. This is because men are expected to proved for the women by obtaining a dignified, well-earning job in order to fulfil the aforementioned standards. Men are ought to practice “masculine” professions set as by the society and norms such as engineering. Nevertheless, the expectation of men by the society in which they need to obtain a higher and well-earning salary than the women (Hardaway, 2015). This burden carried by men, has made the concept of feminism in the aspect of career changed. For the society, if a man has a lower salary than the women, the man is considered to be financially unstable men. For a married couple, this can become a major problem which can lead to divorce as according to a 2009 study by Jeffrey Dew at the Utah State University, one of the best indicators of marital discord is what he terms financial disagreements. Arguments about money are by far the top predictor of divorce. It’s not children, sex life, in-laws or anything else. It’s money - for both men and women. They are as if, faking and lying to themselves when it comes to expressing themselves. This is because, as the concept carried by the society that men are expected to be strong and silent - boys don’t cry, girls do, and if boys are crying it is a sign weakness in men (Webber, 2014). Men are put down for being sensitive or exhibiting any traits that are deemed effeminate (Boykin, 2015). Because of men are often keeping their problems and emotions all to themselves, they are depressed as they do not know how to channel their emotions genuinely and properly. That bias, may have fostered the perception that depression is predominantly a "woman's disease" - and that men don't need treatment for emotional suffering.
