Description of the Company

Microsoft is an American multinational Corporation that is located in Redmond, Washington. It was founded in Albuquerque on April 4, 1975, by Bill Gates and Paul Allen. The Corporation develops, manufactures, licenses and sells computer software, consumer electronics and personal computers. Its best known products are the Microsoft Window line of operation systems, Microsoft Office, and the Internet Explorer web browser.

Ethics

There is no doubt that Microsoft Corporation is a proactive contributor to society because it has integrated social responsibility into its strategic plan in order to share its wealth with the community. So far, the company has donated over seventy million dollars in software to more than 60,000 non-profit organizations in 41 countries. The reason for these donations is to help these charity organizations to serve their communities better. In addition, it has launched a worldwide youth initiative so that it can reach millions of young people and help them to become future entrepreneurs by educating them. This is the reason why Microsoft has been described by Corporate Social Responsibility as the company that helps small businesses, as well as individuals, to achieve their full potential. In addition, Microsoft has earned the reputation of being the leading corporation that offers the strongest and most comprehensive compensations and benefits to its employees. The company offers competitive salaries, bonuses, and stock awards to its eligible employees, based on the employees' performance.
