Enough is a movie by Michael Apted produced in 2002. It stars Jennifer Lopez who acts as Slim, an abused wife who retaliates following her frustrations. The movie begins in Los Angeles where a waitress called Slim serves dinner to Robbie, who in turn makes some romantic advances to her. Another man, Mitch Hiller comes in and tells Slim that Robbie had made a promise to convince her to sleep with him. Slim then finds herself loving Mitch and later marries him, and the two have a child who they name Gracie. After staying in the marriage for some years, Slim finds out that Mitch is cheating on her with a woman by the name Darcelle, something that angers her. The society has witnessed the cases of families living under domestic violence. This has made many families to end their relationships within the corridors of courts, and in this dictum, the people who suffer most are the children. As the movie continues, the viewers see Mitch continue to insult Slim, while accusing her of having consulted his mother. He tries to stay civil before her daughter Gracie, but very violent with his wife. One of the hilarious things about Mitch’s mother is that she seems to be aware of her son’s violent behavior, but accuses Slim of having done something that warrants such kinds of experiences from him. Slim then plans to escape with Ginny’s help at night, but before executing their plan, Mitch seems to have gotten wind of the plan and walks out of his hiding place and grabs her by the hair. He goes ahead to throw her on the ground, even though Gracie is asleep on the sofa. Slim’s friends from outside hear about the struggle and breaks in, but Mitch threatens to shoot them and Phil goes ahead to pick Gracie to have her as a witness of the whole escapade. Mitch is unable to shoot the man holding her daughter, and while he appears stranded on what to do, Slim manages to escape and goes to Seattle where she meets her old boyfriend Joe who accommodates her
