As time goes by and human civilization continues to evolve, so do the careers that we partake in. Whether it be a plumber no longer having to bend over or a teacher not having to be face to face with their students, changes have a been an essential factor in pushing our society towards being a more efficient place. One of the most important fields that is changing today is medicine. Medicine's goal is to not only increase the longevity of a person's life but also the quality so that they can enjoy the moments they have with their loved ones on this planet. In the future the medical field will become more technologically advanced through the new frontiers provided by genetics, bio-medical engineering, and nanotechnology in pharmaceuticals.
In the past 30 years the foundation of medicine has been shaken by the discovery of the human genome.
