(White, 2017) His influences helped him shape his operatic rock sound. Here's where it all began in the year 1970. He started in a muscial called "HAIR". It was perfomring at the Aquarius Theatre. "His run with the production eventually led him to Broadway and earned the young performer some important name recognition". (Biography Meat Loaf, 2016) During his part, he worked along with the Detroit cast at the Vest-pocket Theatre right back where he was born in 1970. The rock and roll album I selected is license to Ill by the Beastie Boys. The album first released in November 15, 1986. The Beastie Boys are an American hip-hop group, which formed in 1981 in New York. The Beastie Boys group consisted of three members for most of their career, Mike D, MCA, and Ad-Rock. The group first began doing hardcore punk, and later transitioned into a rock/ hip-hop style in 1984. (Erlewine) License to Ill released only two years after the group left their punk image for Hip-Hop. Def jams were the record company that first released the album in 1986. License to Ill runs forty-four minutes and thirty-three seconds in length, with thirteen tracks.
On November 7th, 1943, Joni Mitchell was born as Roberta Joan Anderson in Fort Macleod, Canada. Her family eventually moved to North Battleford and then Saskatoon; both of which are cities in the Saskatchewan providence of Canada. She considers Saskatoon, Canada to be her hometown. At the young age of nine years old, Mitchell contracted polio, but she managed to recover and regain her ability to walk after a stay in the hospital. Joni Mitchell’s interest in folk music began in her adolescent years. She was self-taught on how to play the ukulele and ultimately, the guitar. Mitchell started performing at parties and among the folk songs sang were some original ones she wrote herself. Thus, Joni Mitchell’s songwriter and singer career began. She, however, was more interested in pursuing art at the time.

This famous person is one known around the world, whether you know him from his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez or listened to his music. This person is the infamous Puerto Rican Marco Antonio Muñiz, otherwise known as Marc Anthony. Although not born in Puerto Rico, Marc Anthony’s music influences many people around the world including South America and the United States.
The Life of Billy Joel Billy Joel was born on May 9, 1949 in Bronx, New York. He moved at the age of four to a small town on Long Island. This is where at the ripe age of four he discovered the art of music. Originally a classical music fan, Billy Joel honed his skills with classical piano training. This undoubtedly has had a major influence on his life and certainly his music.
He began with Johnny Cash and The Tennessee Two. Then became They signed a record deal with Sun Records, and despite the fact that Johnny went in as a gospel singer the record label though he could be so much more than gospel. Sam Phillips is the man who gave them their chance. His signing of Cash ended up with sells of over ninety-million records. During the course of his career, Cocker was a part of several bands: The Cavaliers, Vance Arnold and the Avengers, the Grease Band, and Mad Dogs and Englishmen. During his time with the Cavaliers he was a drummer, and his Vance Arnold stage name was a “combination of Vince Everett, Elvis Presley’s character in Jailhouse Rock (which Cocker misheard as Vance); and country singer Eddy Arnold” (Bean 16). During his United states tour, Cocker and the Grease Band were booked for Woodstock Festival in New York in 1969. His rendition of Beatles’ song, “With a Little Help from My Friends, helped propel Cocker to fame and popularity. The popularity in his cover of the song has not waned over time, in fact in 2010, a Youtube search for “Joe cocker’s ‘A Little Help From My Friends’ show[ed] up with 3,229,953 views” and his cover can be seen in a documentary made about Woodstock (Valkanova, 11). Joe Cocker’s rendition of the song impressed even the Beatles themselves, which lead to Cocker obtaining their permission for him to cover two more of their songs on his subsequent album, Joe Cocker!. His debut album is named “With a Little Help from My Friends” and the title track is a cover of the Beatles Song. His version eventually became the theme song to 80’s and 90’s television series, The Wonder
In addition to the 23 albums (counting soundtracks and separate US and UK releases) released during the band's life (1960-1970) there have been more than 150 compilations, recorded interviews and videos issued. Hundreds of books have been written about their personal lives, their music, and their influence on pop culture and rock
But, all that said, it's the versatility that still impresses: you couldn't swap a song from the exuberantly explosive pit-band score of Anyone Can Whistle (1964) with one of the Orientally influenced musical scenes in Pacific Overtures (1976); you couldn't mistake the neurotic pop score of Company (1970) for the elegantly ever-waltzing A Little Night Music (1973). Sondheim hit his stride in the Seventies, forming a unique band. partnership with Hal Prince: a composer-lyricist and a producer-director working together to re-invent the musical. Some were plotless (Company), some characterless (Pacific Overtures), and one went backwards (Merrily We Roll Along). But, as his onetime choreographer Michael Bennett put it, before you can break the rules, you have to know what they are - and Sondheim knows America's cultural heritage better than anybody.
Birth of the Cool, the eleven track Capitol record, released in 1957, was actually recorded earlier in 1949 and 1950. As one of the most influential jazz albums of all time, its title depicts the genesis of cool jazz. In the evolution of jazz this post bebop style of the late 1940s through the 1950s was a departure from the emphasis in bebop on virtuoso players in fast tempos with focus on melodies and syncopated rhythms. Cool jazz aimed to be a more subdued, smooth and subtle form of jazz music with a lighter tone, slower tempos and controlled ensemble playing. Cool jazz re-popularized jazz back into the mainstream American music scene.
The bad has an obscure early history. Keith Richards and Mick Jagger were childhood friends in 1951 at Dartford Maypole County Primary School. Jagger said, “I distinctly remember this conversation I had with Keith. We lived in the same block and I asked Keith what he wanted to do when he grew up. He said he wanted to be like Roy Rogers and play guitar. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the Roy Rogers bit, but the part about the guitar did interest me.” (Schlesinger, 15-16) The two boys were separated in the mid fifties because their families moved. However, Jagger and Richards were reunited in 1960 on a train in October. They shared a passion for R&B. Keith Richards said, “We started talking about Berry and people like that. I only had a few records at the time, but Mick had a fantastic collection, so we decided to get together and listen to them.” (Hayward, 10)
In 1998, Big Pun’s debut album got released, entitled “Capital Punishment”, and was an accomplishment by the rapper, as it reached platinum certification, bagging 5th place on the Billboards top 200 chart. This increased his net worth by a huge margin. Later, Pun joined the Terror Squad and in 1999 released their only album , entitled “The Album”, but it went flop.
It’s not like he isn’t an attractive guy. He has shoulder-length brown hair, dark brown eyes and a smile that was incomparable. His guitar playing skills and singing ability would make a girl go through the roof. And for one special girl, they do.
