Nature has the power to lift the spirits of the characters no matter what mood they are in. Nature has the ability to put the characters at ease.
After the deaths of William and Justine, Victor seeks out the Valley of Chamounix and caims that not only did a “tingling long-losst sense of plesure often come across” but also that the “weight upon his spirit was considerably lightened.” After this experiece in nature, Victor is able to finally have a peaceful sleep for the first time n a long time, claiming that the …show more content…

While teling his story, the monster recalls how angry he got sometimes while noticing nature. “The colds stars shone in mockery, and the bare trees waved their branches above me.”
After the monster finished telling his story, Victor reflected on it and claimed “the eternal twinkling of the stars weighed” upon him and “every blast of wind was lke a dull ugly siroc.” Nature had the power to remind him of his guilt and misery. Nature can depress characters too.
The monster is said to have “dull yellow eyes” which greatly contrasts the Ancient Mariner’s glitterin eyes. The mariner;s eyes represent how much he has seen and experienced, sso because the monster has dul eyes, that tells that he hasn’t experienced anything yet.
Victor talks about how his discovery of life is like “one glimmering ad seemingly ineffectual light.” This was the first he talks about light since he left for school. The first that the monster talks about life is when he says “a stronger light pressed upon my nerves, so that I was obligated to shut my eyes.” So, in a way, when Frankenstein found and pursued his happines, that resulted in the pain of someone else.
