MOS arrived at the McDonalds there was an altercation in the parking lot between teenagers and approximately 3 of the teenagers dropped a knife on the ground and
ran into the McDonalds. Sgt. Schwarz arrived and arrested one teenager with a knife. Sgt. Schwarz went into McDonalds and ordered everyone to leave the place. One teenager refused to leave. Sgt. Schwarz place that teenager’s hands in the back and pushed him towards the door then P jumped up and grabbed Sgt. Schwarz from behind. Sgt. Schwarz pushed P down onto a chair. P attempted to kick Sgt. Schwarz and placed his hands in his jacket. Then, Sgt. Schwarz punched P on the shoulder and took out his asp. A crowd in the McDonalds attempted to drag P away then Sgt. Schwarz ordered P arrested. MOS Nunez states that when he arrived at the McDonalds, a melee broke out at the McDonalds. MOS Nunez states that he was assigned the arrests. Law Department did not represent MOS Nunez in this incident.
(Cheeseman2013) In the National Labor Relation Board v Shop Rite Foods case some employees of Shop Rite Foods of Texas elected a worker union as a Bargaining agent for a collective bargaining agreement for over 3 months the agreement was still not settled. Then ShopRite began to notice a lot of it merchandise being damaged in the warehouse. They determined that the damage was being intentionally being caused by dissident employees as a pressure tactic to secure concessions from the company in the collective bargaining negotiations.
Happening in today’s society, there have been countless number of citizens being killed by law enforcement. Some situations may not cause for force and others may. This case can be a reference in regards to making sure that the force you use is appropriate for the situation. As for the justice system, it is all about being fair and listening to both sides and issuing out the right punishment if there is any. The conviction of guilty offenders when adhering to the guidelines of the NSW criminal trial process is not difficult based on the presumption of innocence. However, due to features of the criminal trial process, established by the adversarial system of trial, cases can often involve copious amounts of time and money, particularly evident in the case of R vs Rogerson and McNamara where factors such as time and money are demonstrated to be in excess. In addition, characteristics of the adversarial system such as plea bargaining has the power to hinder convictions due to the accused having the authority to hire experienced and expensive lawyers to argue their case, hence maintaining their innocence.
At around 3:14 pm. Santa Rosa Police officer Erick Gelhaus and his partner, a trainee, were patrolling Moorland Avenue located just before the outskirts of Santa Rosa. Gelhaus who was sitting in the passenger side of the police vehicle, then spotted an individual (now known to be Andy Lopez) with his back facing towards them walking down the street holding what appeared to be an AK-47 assault rifle (Johnson). The trainee officer then stopped the vehicle just a mere 20 to 30 feet away, allowing for Gelhaus to quickly step out and order Lopez to drop the weapon (Chea). Many community members argue that the trainee officer should have gone out of the police vehicle with Gelhaus if Lopez was indeed a threat to the community. The trainee officer however did not exit the vehicle since “at that point Deputy Gelhaus had already engaged the subject, with the commands and with the weapon. The threat was essentially over” (Johnson). This explains why the trainee officer remained in the police vehicle during the confrontation.
When a collection of people with common ideals and values congregate into a group for the means of political gain, they become a much greater presence than if they remained individuals. Whether through singular interest groups or through national political parties, they acquire the power to influence change in the political system, determined to see their viewpoints prevail. This practice was apparent at the time of McDonald v. Chicago. In the time period before the McDonald v. Chicago ruling, numerous people, either through interest groups or political parties, sought the influence the court’s decision and ensure that their viewpoints towards the matter of firearms predominated in the court of law.
Tim Horton's is a typical Canadian coffee shop. By observing and interpreting this setting, we can understand Canadian culture as it's expressed in that setting. Understanding this small part of Canadian culture can then be applied, in a broader way, to the culture of Canadian society. A certain language that is special to customers of Tim Horton's serves a purpose that most are not aware of, big business is changing and confusing our traditional culture with a new culture that is run and concerned with money by large corporations. Canadians are generally friendly and polite to one another but are not community oriented, they are more individualistic.
The report included testimony from Officer Darren Wilson, physical evidence, forensic evidence, and many witnesses. According to the Department of Justice report on the incident, Officer Darren Wilson was driving after finishing one of his calls and saw Michael Brown and his friend walking on the double yellow line in the middle of the street blocking traffic. According to his account, officer Wilson told them to move to the sidewalk in which they ignored. He then noticed they fit the descriptions he had earlier heard of the suspects of the robbery, he then parked his vehicle blocking traffic. He attempted to get out of his vehicle to speak to the boys but apparently Michael Brown blocked the car door and started to punch the officer. They engaged in a scuffle where Officer Wilson reached for his gun in which he claims that all he had access to. Michael Brown tried to take control of the gun, according to Wilson’s account. (Department of Justice, 2015) Officer Wilson then regained control of the gun and shot Michael Brown’s hand. Michael Brown then took off and Wilson chased him on foot. Brown started coming towards Wilson. Many witnesses even described Brown as “charging” towards Wilson. (McLaughlin, E. C. Sharp is constantly trying to position itself as a leader in innovation as further supported by its business creed, which states to “constantly be aware of the need to innovate and improve” (Noda 25). However, this focus on innovation and creativity has not always been consistent with how the company has been operated. The history of the company is replete with periods of both innovation and imitation.

OPPORTUNITIES: McDonalds has many opportunities to change its look, menu, and customer service. McDonald’s started building newer building incorporating the arch, along with more modern furnishings. The menu has changed by adding more breakfast items and introducing the McCafe in certain areas.

Yum Brands is now achieving higher net margin at its company stores than McDonald’s with their revenue skyrocketing in from 41,546,000,000 in 2014 and 42,692,000,000 in 2015 well ahead of McDonald’s.

Millennials created controversy about what McDonald’s was serving its customers and this showed itself in ongoing negativity between social media, blogs, and news sites. This caused an extreme decrease in the restaurants sales. The tactic proposed was to become more transparent with the public, but the focused audience was “curious skeptic” millennials.
