The ancient calendars helped Ancient Civilizations determined seasons, months, and years, in addition, the modern calendars has the same thing as Ancient calendars. To track down events, we use a calendar to know what day your event is going to be. The Julian calendar was 10 full days longer than the Solar calendar, which is now what we use to keep track in today’s world. In the Mayan calendar, experts realized they denoted time spans corresponding to cycles of the Mayan calendars.

The Sun, Moon, planets, and stars have provided us a reference for measuring the passage of time throughout history. Like the ancient calendars have measured the passage of time. The wisest of the Egyptians were the Hermetic philosophers, who possessed a profound knowledge of the sky. They relied upon the predictable motion of these bodies through the sky to determine the seasons, months, and years. The Egyptian calendar was based on the moon’s cycles, but later the Egyptian realized that the “Dog Star” rose next to the sun every 365 days. The Mayans relied not upon on the sun and Moon, but also Venus. The Mayans culture and its related predecessors spread across central America between 2600 B.C and Ad 1500.
