AN ELDERLY couple died in a freak accident when they fell on top of each other and suffocated. John Wood, 67, and his long-term girlfriend Mary Murphy, 66, were found lifeless on the ground floor of her home in Failsworth, Greater Manchester, after the devoted pair celebrated her birthday. After returning home from a nearby village, it’s thought John fell down the stairs and got his head wedged under a radiator after trying to help his partner to bed. An inquest heard that Mary rushed to his aide in the early hours of April 15 – but tripped over John and collapsed on top of him, preventing him from breathing. in a lifeless heap at the bottom of the stairs MEN The position her body ended up in meant she couldn’t breathe either, causing the pair to accidentally suffocate one another. Heywood Coroner’s Court was told that the two – who had been engaged for 43 years – had been drinking earlier that day in Stalybridge before the fall. A concerned friend discovered the pair the following day. Detective Inspector Lewis Hughes of Greater Manchester Police said: “John is likely to have been helping Mary to bed when he fell down the stairs. “Mary made efforts to treat John’s injuries. Mary has then collapsed herself or fallen over when stepping over him. “This is an extremely bizarre, albeit tragic, incident and our thoughts are with the couple’s family and friends at what is clearly a very upsetting and distressing time for them.”

When we discovered John’s body the following morning after he had left my house I couldn’t bring myself to believe that he had gotten lost in the blizzard. I know this blizzard was a bad one, we haven’t had one like that for quiet a while, but still John knows this land better than anyone. I really started to think that there was more to his death than a directional mishap. Just the location and direction his body was found in was enough alone to lead it to be suspicious.

The story of “Bloody Mary” was told to me by a twenty year old male. He is a current student at a University, studying accountancy. He has very conservative beliefs regarding politics. His father is an insurance broker and his mother stays at home. This story was collected on March 18, 2006, at his residence. This is the story as he told it to me:
Sadly, the next morning he was found on his thrown (toilet) dead from doctors figured was heart
A couple of minutes later Jennie woke up to the smell of smoke and started yelling for her husband to wake up (The Mystery of 5 Missing Sodder Children). When George Sodder got up , he went to get his ladder to save his kids but it wasn’t there, so when he went to go get his trucks to help neither would work ( MacGowan, The Sodder Children Mystery). Even though only five of the 10 children got out of the house, no bones or body parts were found in the rubble(The Mystery of 5 Missing Sodder Children). Some believe that the children just died in the fire, but most think something very different

The second most recent missing person case on page 99 is Mary Perrine. She was not filed on NamUs as a missing person. She wasn’t filed because her body was found several weeks after the trial. Being that her body was already found there would not be a match in the unidentified body search. In this case there was no need to search for her in NamUs.
This feeling drove her to participate in the unthinkable murder. When her husband told her that he was suddenly leaving her, she tried not to believe it. “Her first instinct was not to believe any of it, to reject it all.” It was clear that Patrick Maloney was extremely inconsiderate. He would ignore his wife, making her feel lonely and isolated, and he did not seem to care about his child, but only his job. He stated, “There needn’t really be any fuss. I hope not anyway. It wouldn't be very good for my job.” He left Mary in a state where she felt her world was crashing down on her, and she was not thinking when she slammed the leg of a lamb into her husband’s
