There was once this thing called the Marvel Universe. Marvel is a company that makes comics and movies full of well-known superheroes like Spider-Man, The Avengers and The Gaurdians of the Galaxy. There are also many famous antiheroes such as The Punisher, Venom and of course Deadpool. But where is a hero without their villains am I right? Magneto, Doctor Doom And Loki are some of the well known villains here.
And a universe “is all of time and space and its contents. It includes planets, moons, minor planets, stars, galaxies, the contents of intergalactic space, and all matter and energy.” But Marvel isnt just one unverse its a multiverse. A multiverse is the set of all possible universes, in Broc Speak (in my personal language) that mean

Like almost everything that happens in the Marvel comics usually takes place in Earth-616.
You may ask why in the marvel universe does every superhero and or villain wear masks or costumes or both. Well I don't know why they do but I know it has existed for a long time. It came into existence during the wild west times with the hero Phantom Rider (the wild west version of the Ghost Rider). Then it came back during the 20th century with Captain America and his team called the invaders.
You now may be wondering where they (the heroes and villains) got their powers from these cosmic entities called the celestials. The celestials came to earth millions of years ago and they experimented on our ancestors. That caused them to gain their superpowers. Though some people were born with their powers. Others had a certain circumstance (like certain types of radiations) for them to get their powers. The powers these people got are usually random. Some super humans got their powers from other means like magic. Some heroes and villains don't even have powers instead they are really skilled in hand to hand combat or they have all of this advanced technology stuff. In the Marvel Universe is more advanced then in the real world and this is because of the super geniuses. Not Stephen Hawkings but more of Reed Richards and Tony Stark. But some of the advanced
Why is it that in most superhero movies the good guys win? Because good always outshines evil. Characteristics, feelings, and actions which are commonly shared by most people is called human nature. One can easily make a statement about human nature by reading Lord of the Flies by: William Golding and Night by: Elie Wiesel. Lord of the Flies is about a group of well rounded group of British boys who survive a plane crash and find themselves the sole inhabitants of an island. Night is an honest, firsthand account about Elie Wiesel’s life in concentration camps during the Holocaust. Through these books, one can simply say humans are essentially good, even throughout the circumstances they face.
In April of 1861, the American Civil War broke out. In June of 2006, the Marvel Civil War broke out. 145 years of separation still bind these two seemingly unrelated events. The nonfiction and fiction worlds may come across as totally different. One involves actual American heroes fighting over abolition versus slavery and federal versus states’ rights while the other involves fictional American superheroes fighting over freedom versus security, individual rights versus the need for regulation. More specifically, the Marvel Civil War was caused by a controversial Superhero Registration Act that required all superheroes to register themselves under the government as government agents.
One way he influenced the comic book world was by revolutionizing the way characters behaved in his stories. Many of the characters in the older comic books were given makeovers to make the audiences like them more because they were flat and lacked emotion. This was called the Silver Age of Comics. The older characters lacked a personality. Stan Lee was an office assistant at Timely Comics in 1939 and soon after that he became an interim editor in the 1940s (Stan). When Martin Goodman, the publisher of Marvel Comics, Timely Comic’s new name, since 1939, asked Stan Lee to create a team of superheroes better than the Justice League of America, their rival in comic books, Stan Lee had his doubts. Mr. Goodman thought that comic books should be dumbed down because they were for “stupid children.” Stan Lee did not agree with Martin Goodman’s idea. Stan Lee already wanted to quit, so his wife advised him to go ahead and write the story the way he wanted to write it. If Goodman fired him it would be okay since he already was contemplating quitting. Lee decided to write a story about four people who got superpowers after an accident in space. They were completely different from other superheroes because they did not wear costumes. The story was also based in New York City instead of Metropolises or Gotham City like Superman and Batman. These characters also had a real personality along with a real job, no secret identity, or alter egos. This story was known as the Fantastic Four. It was extremely different than many other comic books. (Garcia)
Perceptions of the superhero and supervillain are mainly based on subjective definitions of each concept. These observations often lead to a definitive dichotomy that precisely splits characters into two impermeable divisions. However, this stringent separation is unable to account for the characters that are not at the extreme ends of their respective side. Neither is this rift capable of classifying characters that flirt with both sides of the superhero-supervillain dichotomy. Therefore it is imperative to analyze the established criteria for both superhero and supervillain to derive a more adequate explanation. Most superheroes are not easily characterized, but rather fall somewhere between Superman, the bastion of moral purity, and Doctor Doom, the display of indubitable corruption. This solicits genesis of an entirely new notion about the differences between superheroes and supervillains. A more precise idea is that superheroes and supervillains are lined on a spectrum that spans from pure good to pure evil. Disparities between superheroes and supervillains are not black and white, but rather these characters are on a spectrum that radically changes based on individual cases.
Stan Lee and Jack Kirby are known as the main stars behind the scenes of Marvel Entertainment comics.
The meaning of a super hero is a figure endowed with powers usually used for fighting crime. So a super villain would be a figure endowed with powers used for causing crimes. The crime causing Green Goblin was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in July of 1964. He filled the position of Spiderman’s most deadly villain. He first appeared in Spiderman#14 the comic series.

For example, Batman comes from the DC universe. Batman, or Bruce Wayne as his secret identity, is a “wealthy American playboy, philanthropist, and owner of Wayne enterprises” (Wikipedia). After witnessing his parents’ death, he have realized that he wants revenge for them. Wayne establishes his secret cave under his mansion, becomes Batman, and protects Gotham city and its citizens from all the criminals and villains. On the other hand, Iron Man have began in a different way. As a young boy, Stark have always been interested in mechanics and engineering since his father, Howard Stark, is a great scientist who have created Stark Industries. As Stark grows up, he have become a successful businessman, new owner of Stark Industries, and a reckless playboy. When Stark have gone to a business travel, he have been attacked by terrorist. During his time in captivity, he creates a suit to defeat the enemies. Therefore, “the armor [he creates have become] the first true Iron Man armor and [is] equipped with crude magnetic weaponry for defense (Marvel). Through the years, Stark modifies his suit. As a result, Batman and Iron Man have started from different ways. Viewers admire these superheroes because of how they have started to be superheroes, Batman from the fact that he wants to protect the people and Iron Man from the fact that he wants to save himself from the
In the reflective essay “Secret Skin: An Essay in Unitard Theory”, Michael Chabon explores the origin of superhero costumes and discovers that these costumes are “secret skins” of the superheros, rather than a disguise that they wear to hide their identity. Their identities are revealed in their costumes, where their past and secrets are displayed on cloth. Chabon supports this theory by exploring and explaining the detail upon the costumes of our favorite superheroes. For example, Chabon explains how the “S” engraved in Superman’s costume is actually “the coat of arms of the ancient Kryptonian House of El, from which he descends” and not actually the “S” for the first letter of the word “Superman”. Furthermore, the spider on Spiderman’s
What is a superhero? Some would argue that a superhero is a fictional character with super powers. Although this definition holds some truths, there is so much more when delving into what a superhero actually is. Guardians of the Galaxy, although goofy and very original, accurately portrays the true meaning and expectations of our superheroes. In order to be a superhero a person must take risks that involve huge sacrifice and they must be willing to take the initiative to help make a society a better place for the greater good, all of which can be seen in Guardians of the Galaxy, which some would argue is more so a comedy than superhero movie.
Marvel the only word you hear these days. You’ve probably heard of the popular heros : Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk. Discarding them, have you heard of Thor Ragnarok and Dr. Strange. They are both interesting to learn about. They have many similarities and differences. Thor and Dr. Strange are totally different but same at the same time.
When one thinks about it, though it may be hard to believe, superheroes stem from God. This began as early back as Greek gods, then leading to Jesus. Jesus was a seemingly normal man who helped everyone, and led people. He was the ultimate superhero of his time. Once he was gone and became no more than a story passed down from father to son, people began to crave what was new, what was ‘in the now.’ That is when tales of knight...
Chabon believes that costumes develop people into more esteemed version of themselves, however the costumes do not keep identities anonymous. Costumes, in addition to other aspects of a superhero, such as accessories and abilities, are used to display a physical representation of a person’s inner being. While this requires severe observation, it is not that simple for a superhero to secrete their background. Costumes are inspired by various background information and interests of the hero/creator. And it is because of those factors, that one can actually investigate or at least determine the possible outcomes of their identity as well as their superhero origins. Although concealing their own identity is the main reason people believe is superheroes
standard where they are then needed to protect their city. Having the abilities, they still must train to maintain the control over the power they now possess. Spiderman is an example, he once was originally a young man whose goal was just to get into university and study science, while on an excursion to a museum he was bitten by a venomous spider, having no life taking effects but instead turning him into a man who now possesses spidery features. Then once having control over the power he now possesses he must arise at every moment where his city and loved ones may run into danger.
