Rationale

For the interdisciplinary unit, which is on the Renaissance, I am going to write journal entries from Martin Luther’s perspective when he was changing the church system because of the inequality that existed. I am going to write 3 entries about the Reformation and each entry will explore events that affected the Reformation, each entry will be approximately 300 words long, the total of all the entries will not surpass 1000 words. I chose this text type because it allows me to clearly demonstrate what Martin Luther was trying to achieve and how he saw the whole situation. The target audience is the other citizens during the Renaissance that were not part of the Reformation, to convince them to join. The purpose of the journal entries will be to inform the citizens and show the citizens Martin Luther’s perspective that is first handedly taking part in the reformation. The entries will demonstrate how at the beginning of the Renaissance, the Church was unequally treating people and how it changed, to everybody being equal. The journal entries will be written the style people would talk in the Renaissance and it will be written formally, including the date and place that was written in. This will allow the audience to understand when the reformation occurred and how different places were affected.

I am here, sat down, thinking how this could have happened. The holy Catholic Church is confusing me. I thought all people are equal and the Church is a place to help people out, but now it is rotten as un-watered plants in an abandoned garden. The New Testament that I published, over 100,000 copies were printed and it is the best-selling book in Germany. I feel so honored that people are recognized the lies that the Catholic Church should to all of us. Now I have started translating all the other holy books, because still most people in Germany are not able to read Latin.
The Reformation has come so far, I have rejected the episcopal courts and canon law* and now only the Lutheran Europe civil court, the only legal power. I have finally won; the Protestant Church is finally standing strong. I am done with documenting my journey to success. These are my last word that I will be writing down “no more violence, and now everyone know how the church really portrayed God wrongly, but really he is a loving father. Now my folk can fight with out me, I have done the basics, they should continue and fight for their freedom.
