The free enterprise system in the United States has allowed for many opportunities in business. It provides producers and consumers the ability to make their own economic choices and has little interference from the government. Throughout history, entrepreneurs have emerged to become major successors in business, media, and entertainment. One particular individual by the name of Mark Zuckerberg took advantage of the benefits of free enterprise to build and heighten his success. The free enterprise system made it possible for Zuckerberg to launch Facebook, the most popular social networking website, and become the world's youngest billionaire. Unlike some other countries such as North Korea and Cuba with command economies, America's mixed market economy allows individuals to make their own economic decisions with minimum government regulation. They can pursue opportunities to start and own a business. Mark Zuckerberg did just this with the help of a few other entreprenuers. Although Mark Zuckerberg was born into a family with money, he did not use that wealth to acheive his success. While attending Harvard University, he attained the reputation as a computer programming prodigy. He began creating programs in his dormitory room such as CourseMatch and FaceSmash. Zuckerberg then joined with three other people and soon after, came up with the idea of Facebook. Over the course of ten years, Facebook grows exponentially and now has 556 million people accessing the site every day. As of July of 2014, Zuckerburg has a net worth of $33.1 billion.
