I am very inspired by your father’s work and your book. With your father as a Holocaust survivor, it is amazing how Joseph gathered notes from his life as a Jew for a book. After he died, it was an amazing honor for you to publish his work. His bravery, courage, and wise-being is very moving to others, including me. To have a daughter that continued his work, Joseph would be so proud of you and the work you have done. It is very touching that the Holocaust means so much to you and you travel around to schools, sharing your father’s life with others. The Holocaust is a very important topic to me. Distinct family of mine was in the Holocaust but unfortunately died. To have a survivor write in depth about what happened to the Jews, is very motivating. …show more content…

The Holocaust should never be forgotten and having another book for students to read will aid that. Your father’s book will be in everyone’s mind for the rest of their life and inspire all of us every day. In “Mark It With A Stone” you stated “He was always my role model and remains so to this day.” (Rubenstein 7). In the Introduction to “Mark It With A Stone”, you included how your father was a great role model. Following in his footsteps and sharing his story today, has a great impact. Also, in the story, Joseph had bravery and strength to see his friend go through the terrible incident with the Nazis. Horn stated “Eyes wide open, with the eternal puzzled look, was my friend, Natha...I fell upon Nathan’s body, and my stream of tears mixed with the pool of his blood.” (Horn 55). Nathan, Joseph’s friend and neighbor, had great bravery for taking control of his family after his father hid from the Nazis. However, when the Nazis came to Nathan’s house to seek for his father, they only found Nathan. So, they grabbed him instead.
