There is a older lady that got on the bus, and she was so tired. She got on the bus and sat in the back in the color section. As they came to the next stop, the bus driver told Rosa Parks to get up from her seat and give it to a white person. Rosa refuse and took a stand. Being a hero means taking a risk with the characteristics of being brave, selfless, and taking a stand. Malala Yousafzai is a young adult who demanded education for girls in Pakistan. She taught herself how to read and write. She wanted the other girls to learn also, Malala started protesting around Pakistan to be heard. Malala knew what she was doing was dangerous, but she took a risk anyway. In 2012, Malala was shot in the head but she survived, this also made her stronger. She continued with her protest. In 2013, she was nominated for Nobel Peace Prize. In 2014, on her birthday, she received the Nobel Peace Prize. Malala is a brave person, and that’s what make her a hero. …show more content…

Martin Luther King Jr. was a man who demanded equal rights for blacks. In the Montgomery Bus Boycott, King suggested that none of the blacks ride the bus at all. After a long boycott, the blacks got equal rights on the bus. King next mission was to get the blacks to do a “sit in” in white restaurants. It was successful because segregation ended in Southern cities. After all of the success King brought to the black community, yet his life ended short. He was assassinated in a Memphis hotel.
