In William Shakespeare's “Macbeth”, the protagonist is portrayed as both good and evil.Evil is a “destructive force that causes damage to those who embrace it and their victims” .Throughout scenes in the play macbeth can be considered as moral but further into the play Macbeth's good is unweighted by evil. In the beginning if the play, Macbeth is respected by most, including the good king Duncan and the captain who praised “the Brave Macbeth” for his role in against the “villains Rebels’’ from Ireland. But this changed when his ambitions fuelled by those around him including his manipulative wife and weird sister who turned macbeth from good to evil, which is what drives Macbeth to commit unnatural actions of destruction. After the deed has been done Macbeth turns his attention to BAnquo as he heard the fate of banquo's descendents and feels as though his throne is threatened. He hires murderers to kill banquo and his son to stop this from happening and feels as though he must explain why it is necessary for them to kill him, this could be due to the feeling of guilt as he knows that it's is an evil act. Macbeth's wife Lady Macbeth, first created the sinister idea of Murdering king duncan. Lady MAcbeth informs her husband, who is less ambitious than she is of her plan to murder the king and achieve the goal of become King of scotland. Lady MAcbeth tells macbeth he looks “like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under’’ but macbeth is reluctant to commit to this idea, stating he “will proceed no further in this business’’, which shows Macbeth has good in him. This is where we see a dark side to lady macbeth, who begins her campaign to spur macbeth's ambitions into action.
