The human race has many important traits, but loyalty is one of the most important traits that we have, and in any type of relationship you need loyalty for it to be real and survive. In the song “locked Away” by R city tells us about the importance of loyalty and being real when things are not easy or the best that they have ever been. Throughout the song he keeps asking this girl that he loves if she would stay if he showed her all of his flaws, would she stay and still be loyal? He stresses the importance of honesty and loyalty with repetition throughout the entire song asking her over and over if I wasn't rich, handsome, and strong enough, would you still be here with me ? Most people at some point in their life have felt the fear of losing …show more content…
The way Hinton's sets up the characters' personalities in the beginning of the story is amazing. The characters Ponyboy, Dally, Johnny, Darry, and Sodapop all bring it together throughout the book showing their growth and revealments of who they are and are becoming. Ponyboy isn’t street smart, he doesn't use his head, and that's what makes Darry how he is. He, darry, forfeited college, works two jobs, and always is on Ponyboys back because he wants him to have a good life. Even though the Curtis brothers are going to stick together it doesn't stop ponyboy from being afraid of what will happen when johnny and him come back. He’s afraid that they won’t love him anymore. He’s afraid Darry won't want him, and that soda pop would be ashamed of him. Johnny and Ponyboy both had to bleach and cut their hair, and now they’re afraid they won’t be socially accepted back into the gang because now they look like socs. Dally he’s just scared for Johnny he doesn’t want him to get hurt, because even though dally has the gang johnny was really the only thing that dally had ever loved. Dally was always had his wall up. Him against the world. He didn't want to world to touch him or anyones else. He didn’t see the good, but johnny made him see it and johnny saw the good in him when no one else saw it. They were all afraid that if they messed up, and showed their flaws no one
Darry in the novel does not show much emotion and may seem unsympathetic. Sometimes people think if you're like Dally a big, strong and cool guy you can't show any emotion or how your feeling but that is not always the case, Darry shows a lot of emotion and sensitivity throughout the course of this novel. When Johnny commits a bad crime he went along with Ponyboy to stay out in an abandoned church in Windrixville to stay under the radar, he got a note from Sodapop saying “Darry and me ran nuts when you ran out like that, Darry is awful sorry hit you. You know he didn’t mean it” (page 81) Even though no one was there physically saying it your know how Dally felt when he hit Ponyboy like that and you can't
All in all, the permeating theme of S. E. Hinton’s The Outsiders is Your personal decisions can always affect the people closest to you. I Picked this Theme because I think i fits the best with the book Many people Kill and get killed because of one dumb decision/
Loyalty in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, The Odyssey by Homer and Don Quixote by Cervantes
Ponyboy and others know subconsciously that they need to hammer away. Through dreadful living conditions, family issues, and the deaths of friends, they just chip away until they can’t no more. When the end is there in the distance they all lean on each other and support the others. Ponyboy and his family endure through the thick and the thin. S.E. Hinton shows this so perfectly and inspires the rest of the world to do so. At the end of the day, the reader can understand how important it is to persevere through
The Outsiders, an enthralling novel by S.E Hinton, is an excellent story about the hardships and triumphs experienced by the Greasers and the Socs two rival gangs. S.E Hinton tells a thrilling tale about the Socs and the Greasers that are two gangs and she characterize how they live. Ponyboy, his brother and his friends have to deal with the challenges relating to their environment. The three most important topics of The Outsiders are survival, social class and family support.
I feel as though the novel The outsiders has many themes, but the most important one is belonging. The greasers are a group of poor, low class youth that don’t have much and live on the wrong side of town. They are always held accountable for their actions. On the other hand, the Socs are a bunch of high class youth that are very privileged and aren’t held accountable for their immature actions.
I can personally relate this song to my past relationship with a guy of 2 years. We had many rough patches while we were together. There were things in the relationship that I can never erase; yet I feel as though I will never fully let him go. He's still trying so hard to get me back and I'm taking advantage of it. I get many mixed emotions about him and the thought of starting up the relationship again. The hardest part is that he's the only person I truly feel I can completely be myself around. Yet, I fear that it will start right back where it ended. All he wants to be is my giving tree and make me happy.
The Outsiders is a novel by S.E Hinton, that follows a young boy named Ponyboy who grows up in a gang. Johnny, Sodapop and Darry help him find how he fits into the world and without them he would have a hard time finding his own identity. Without having a close group of friends he would have a tough way of life, especially with the Socs. Being in a group that you associate with, that have different values to yourself can lead you to disregard your own ethics and do things you wouldn’t normally do, but at the same time this can assist and reinforce your own values…
The title of the song shines surprisingly clear, though it creates a feeling of being unpleasant and obnoxious for the listeners. The man in this song either feels rejected or disappointed at the world as it seems to be so cruel and also beautiful. Obviously, the world itself always has an equal balance of good and bad and you can never have both. Even though the man got his girl but he feels they are falling apart.
Women had to fight for their rights to vote and hold public office. In many countries women are looked at as objects and still don’t have equal rights and this song brings light to this topic.
‘The Outsiders’ is written by S.E. Hinton. It is set in the 1960s in a
For many of us, one of the most accurate and effective ways to express the feelings that really matter to us is through music. We don’t only grow to attached to songs that are catchy, but also those with lyrics that we can relate to. It is not uncommon to feel like sometimes, artists can convey the way we feel better than we could ourselves. The storybook-like lines you read at the start of this page are a collection of lyrics
When you realize the themes of the outsiders… The outsiders is about two gangs that dislike each other. The one night someone takes things too far to save his best friend…
Then one day, little did I know my life was going to change. There was one person in particular that I had talked to on few occasions over the time-frame of about nine months. We finally agreed to meet and it want amazingly. One of the things that he told me that night was, “I’m gonna take care of you.” It was not meant to be this dramatic, time-stopping moment but it was. The perfect song to describe it is the song “Take Care” by Drake and Rihanna. The chorus of the song is, “I know you’ve been hurt by someone else. I can tell by the way you carry yourself. If you love me, here’s what I’ll do: I’ll take care of you.” We both have been hurt multiple times and have gone through multiple trials throughout life. Because of challenges we have faced, we are both stronger people and it makes our relationship stronger than
CSNY is profoundly successful in conveying their message in the song by using the right lyrics and vocals accompanied by the tune of the guitars. “Helplessly Hoping” can be interpreted in so many ways that in either way it, nonetheless, will insinuate on the same thing, which is love. As they put it love is not lying, and it will always be around. Listening to the song can put one in an emotional roller-coaster that its theme can be known beforehand. This perplexed relationship describes the essence of love, and its implications. It reflects on how love can be capricious, which gives a sense of mystery. The harmony of the group in the song makes it one of my favorites, and puts it in my top list of love songs in all times.
