I have lived in a little town called Packwood all my life and it is the last town on Highway 12, you see before you enter the park. Since I was little, I spent my summer camping and being in the park. My father sells campfire wood in two of the bigger campgrounds in the park, White River and Ohanapecosh Campground. So I would join him and help him with the firewood, so I grew up in the park. There are so many things you can do in the park, like hiking up to a former fire lookout, hiking down into a lake and fishing. There are five ways to enter the park and they lead to different parts of the park. The southwest entrance called the Nisqually Entrance is open year-round, using this entrance allows you to visit Longmire and if you go past Longmire,
Woop woop! Is the common sound heard in Beecher Terrace (housing apartments). There are 2.3 million people locked up in the United States. Kentucky spends about fifteen billion dollars per year incarcerating individuals from Beecher Terrace. Since the 1970’s the number of people locked up in the United States has grown from 300,000 to 2.3 million. Kentucky has been the center of this prison expansion. Charles McDuffie, Christel, Demetria, and Keith Huff all have something in common. Each of these individuals are repeat offenders, grew up or lived in Beech Terrace, and have some type of mental issue.
30 for 30: Unguarded is both difficult and impossible not to watch. The film is like watching a “jump ball” at the beginning of a basketball game, over, and over again. Cutting back and forth from images of his beautiful family to the hard-core faces of addiction. Chris was talented, good looking, and smart. He outwitted everyone to get his high. It is sad that he could not feel the same high on the basketball court, yet found it on the street. Chris teaches young kids basketball and shares his story of recovery. He has been alcohol and drug-free since August 1, 2008. He has found peace one day at a time.
When most people think of Texas legacies they think of Sam Houston or Davy Crockett, but they don’t usually think of people like Jane Long. Jane Long is known as ‘The Mother of Texas’. She was given that nickname because she was the first english speaking woman in Texas to give birth.

Ana-Mauríne Lara’s Erzulie’s Skirt positions the female body as the scene where lives are interconnected across history and as a dissertation of the human condition. Her protagonists, Micaela and Miriam, tell a story of love, struggle, and survival that echoes the historical significance of slavery and the Caribbean middle passage across time and space. Divided into several sections based on time and location, one particular period in Lara’s novel connects Micaela and Miriam’s experiences most closely with slavery as a whole. After a voyage across the Mona Strait as an attempt to escape from the conditions in the Dominican Republic, they find themselves captured, trapped in a brothel, and forced into prostitution. Many parallels can be drawn to interpret Lara’s use of the brothel as a metaphor for the slave ships used to travel across the original Middle Passage, including the comparable use of people as commodities, the specific imagery and language Lara uses, the historical narrative presented at the beginning of each section, and the larger themes in which identities were simultaneously stripped by oppression and also preserved within the context of community and spirituality.
There is no better feeling in this world than to be outdoors with nature, especially when there are numerous activities to dabble in. Often times people take for granted the sentimental value that they can experience by simply walking through a park. God created the Earth to be beautiful and peaceful, and people need to keep it that way. I have always shared a love of the outdoors with my dad and my brother. We have gone on numerous camping, hiking, fishing, and star-gazing trips ever since I can remember. It was no surprise to me when my dad decided to buy a lake house on Hyco Lake, right outside of Roxboro. We got a really good deal on the house, so my dad decided that Hyco Lake was the perfect spot.
Camping, hiking, kayaking, rafting, mountaineering, and backpacking are all recreational activities that a group of people may do together when visiting the park. Flightseeing, birdwatching, and sport fishing are other activities people may do

If you were a soldier of the Continental Army during the winters at Valley Forge, would you have quit? The Continental Army was an army of militiamen that was created by the Continental Congress. The soldiers and generals in the army had little to no experience, and they lacked supplies such as quality clothing, proper shelters, and sufficient food. The Continental Army was led by George Washington, one of the best generals in U.S. history, who taught the soldiers almost everything they knew. On October 1777, British General Howe brought his army of 18,000 redcoats into the national capital of Philadelphia. Consequently, Washington decided to move his army to Valley Forge, an area just 18 miles from Philadelphia, to keep watch on them. It just

For some people seeing a white-tail deer is magnificent. In Key West they have key deer. I doubt that in New York your going to wake up first thing and see a deer. The Canyon has many animals, including woodpeckers, wild turkey, warblers, armadillos, raccoons, red foxes, and red squirrels. The animals I have listed are all in the park. You may want to walk down the clearly marked trails by yourself or you could ask a park ranger to take you on a tour. You even can camp overnight at designated camping spots. When you want to hike you can trek up the sides to the top and gets an almost bird's eye view. When you go back down everything will seem and a lot
Sometimes sitting at home gets boring, and sometimes your front and backyard are also boring and little kids have a ton of fun at parks. In Council Bluffs I have not come across a park. Which would help because it can be two things dog park and children park.
The creek was the perfect spot for bike rides and midday runs especially when the ground was dry and settled. A few friends and I would often run around the woods early in the morning and explore
