“Ohana means family, family means no one gets left behind.” That quote was from the movie Lilo and Stitch. I feel like this quote relates to my family because even when we don’t get along some days, we would always come together at the end of the day. No matter how mad we get at each other, we will always be there for each other and leave no one behind. Now I’m going to tell you about my crazy yet loving family. I’m going to talk about my dad, Lee Kahrs. I would describe my dad as the “cool” dad. He’s the “cool” dad because when he’s around my friends he tries to act cool by telling dad jokes, walking like gangster, and just by being very laid-back. I would say that my mom is adamant because she thinks that she’s always right, even when she’s wrong. Like one time she thought she said something to the family and she swore that she said it, even though the rest of the family said that she didn’t. Being adamant isn’t the only trait she has, she’s also very caring. When something goes wrong, she will always be there for you. She even cares deeply for people she doesn’t know. Now, let’s talk about my older sister, Cierra. Cierra has the most determination out of all the people I know. She sets her goals high and makes sure that her goals are reached no matter what the struggles are. Because she applies to every award and scholarship possible, I am beyond proud of all her accomplishments. Cierra’s also a silly goose, it’s a inside joke that we have together. It’s all because of one night we’re laughing hysterically and started calling each other a silly goose, so now it’s stuck. Now, last but certainly not least, my little sister, Skylar. Skylar is most definitely the drama queen in our family. I say this because whenever she loses a card game, she hollers, “You cheated and I should of won!” Then she goes to her room, slams the door shut, and cries her defeat away. Because she’s the youngest, she also gets to be the most spoiled. Since she’s getting older, mom doesn’t get her as many toys and clothes as she did when she was younger.
