However, French is the official written language and is used for legislation. There are many museums, concert halls, performance theaters, and galleries that show the citizens’ love and appreciation for the arts. Much of their architecture originates from the Treveri, a Celtic tribe during the 1st century B.C. The most significant structures have been their castles and churches. Some examples are the Vianden Castle and the Echternarch Basilica, a grand church. The two main classical music venues in Luxembourg are the Philharmonie concert hall and the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg. They frequently perform with opera and ballet as well.
Cuisine:
Neighboring countries France, Germany, and Belgium have contributed to Luxembourgish cuisine over the years. Recently, it has also been influenced by Italian and Portuguese dining due to the increasing number of immigrants from those nations. They have many delicacies in Luxembourg such as pastries, cheese, fresh fish, and Ardennes ham smoked in saltpeter. One of their specialties is Thüringer, a small, spicy sausage similar to German bratwurst that is often sold by street vendors. Another is Gromperekichelcher, a spiced potato pancake with chopped onions and parsley. These are also sold by street vendors.

the Christmas season we are going to celebrate with a party at a members house
Gift-giving nowadays is no longer an act of kindness, but rather a political measure, taken to ensure one’s status with one’s acquaintances. While the general feeling of "goodwill towards men" still pervades the season, albeit filtered through television and municipal decorating projects, there is a great tension that precedes the actual Christmas holiday itself. I remember Christmases of my youth as enjoyable times, to be sure, but also as times when it was best to stay clear of my mother, who was inevitably in
The lifestyle in France, just like in all other European countries, has changed dramatically since the early 1700’s. People went from farmers to factory owners to all of the professions of today’s society. The main reason for the great changes in lifestyle that occurred in France was the Industrial Revolution, which urbanized most of France. But the Industrial Revolution was not the only thing that changed France. The monarchy fell the church changed, and the role people had in their jobs and family life change drastically.

If a country doesn’t have an official language is usually due to distinct historical or cultural reasons. As I began reading articles on this topic, I was amazed that the great country I live in doesn’t have an official language. I begin to wonder why this is the case. Many countries have an official language in which all the official business, daily activities and other formal activities are conducted. There are even thirty (30) states that have succeeded through their own statutes to declare English as an official language of their particular state (www.us-english.org).

We live in a culture where people are expected to give to others gifts of gratitude and expressions of love. Sometimes these gifts are accepted for what they are worth and other times they are not. We use that which others give us based on several factors. Among them are whether we perceive the gift as valuable, whether we can practically use the gift, or whether the gift is given earnestly and for the right reasons. Because of this there is not one explanation why certain attitudes about gifts exist. We should, however, understand that it is not for us to realize why a gift is given, but rather that someone thinks enough of us to give a gift in the first place. It is certain that if gifts are not accepted and used in a prudent and expeditious manner, then the gifts that are received will deteriorate or whither completely away.

First, you should prepare the invitation list to be able to know how many guests you want to invite. Above all, you should make the difficult choice of who to invite and who not to. For instance, on Christmas Eve, which is also my birthday, I would like to do a small dinner gathering my closest friends and family. I wouldn't invite a lot of people since my house wouldn't fit the whole village. Instead, I would invite the people who are the closest to me. Moreover, you should prepare and send the invitation cards. Because of the fact that it is a special occasion, the card shows its importance. Further more, it is equally important to receive the invitation's response. It is the numbe...
