A. “Humans are hosts to nearly 300 species of parasitic worms and over 70 species
of protozoa, some derived from our primate ancestors and some acquired from the
animals we have domesticated or come in contact with during our relatively short
history on Earth”(Cox,2002).
B. I first learned about tapeworms while taking by microbiology class and I felt so shocked how easily you can be infected with this parasite.
C. So today, I am here to inform you about tapeworms so you can eliminate the
risk of obtaining tapeworms yourself.
D. I’m going to explain the anatomy and physiology of tapeworms, their
life-cycle, how they are transmitted, the symptoms, and how to treat this infection
of tapeworms.
Oriental Material
A.The classification and form of host
1.Tapeworms, name for the parasitic flatworms are classified in the phylum Platyhelminthes, class Cestoda(Tapeworm,2013,1).
2.“The curious life cycle of these gutless parasites generally involves two
hosts--an intermediate host (typically a herbivore) and a definitive or
final-stage host (typically a carnivore)”(Hickey, 2002,1).
B. Tapeworm explanation
1.Tapeworms are segments, ribbon-like flatworms that lack a digestive tract
of their own
2. They rely completely on the digestion of the host they inhibit.
3. All tapeworms are monoecious-both ovaries and testes are in one animal.
a. They don’t need another parasite to be able to reproduce.
C. Tapeworm
1.Stated by Hickey in 2002, there is an estimated 1,500 species of tapeworms, 35 of this species affect humans specifically.
2. The two types of tapeworms that I am going to focus on, is Taenia saginata and Taenia solium. Aka: T. saginata and T. solium.
3. Taenia saginata has the common na...

2. The symptoms mimic those of a brain tumor and cause human epilepsy.
3. This infections is most prevalent in certain parts of Central America
Treatments
A. medicine
1.”When infection is known to exist, the tapeworms can be killed with
drugs that do not harm the host”(animal plant).
Conclusion
Summary
A.Tapeworms are a powerful parasite that anyone can become infected by them.
B.Through knowing the anatomy and physiology , their, life-cycle, how they are
transmitted, the symptoms, and the treatments one will be better prepared to have less chance of obtaining this parasite.
C.But the most important thing that one must do is to always cook your food well
done, wash all foods, and have a good personal hygiene by doing this you can
diminish even the slightest chances of becoming infected.
Planarians are free-living, carnivorous flatworms found in the Phylum Platyhelminthes, Class Turbellaria. Although the Phylum Platyhelminthes is known for having the animals with the most parasitic species, the class Turbellaria which consist of the Planaria, are a non-parasitic species. Platyhelminthes which translates to "flat worm" are triploblastic animals. This means that they have three tissue layers, the endoderm, mesoderm, and ectoderm. Planaria also are monoecious organisms, meaning that they have both female and male sex organs in one organism. Another characteristic of the Planaria is that they do not have a true body cavity, meaning that they are acoelomate organisms.
d. He would say that she is obsessed with oral sensations, like talking, because she developed normally through the oral stage of life.
Infestation of up to 20 meningeal worms has been discovered in a single deer’s subdural cavity. The white tail deer is the preferred host, but they rarely ever suffer from any sickly or neurological problems from this type of worm. We will see severe signs in llamas and alpacas; these are the two animals that can become infected with it frequently. The meningeal worm can cause damage to the central nervous system and could result in death so it is important to try and catch it early and learn about how to prevent this deadly worm. Things that you should be familiar with about the meningeal worm are its life cycle, the signs in your animal, and any prevention or treatment options.
the definition of parasite, is something that hurts. for ever. this parasite, was a landmine. I had good medical attention. But once i returned home, I finally left. I wanted to leave. there were rockets, raining down in every place i looked. those rockets stole my family. we couldn't stay. so we fled. the last time i had a true education, was when i entered high school. between 2nd grade and 9th the education i had in my birth place, that wasn't any kind of education. i wanted more. and there was nothing there for me to want
They have a distinctive corkscrew motility with the aid of 6 endoflagellas (2). The specific classifications of Treponema pallidum are the following: Scientific name- Treponema pallidum, Common name- Syphilis. Treponema causes syphilis, yaws, and spinitis. Borrelia causes Lyme disease and relapsing fever and Leptospira causes leptospirosis (5). What makes this microorganism special to the human population is that it causes infection to its host by entering the body through microscopic skin or mucous abrasions via direct personal contact with the lesions (sexual or kissing), blood transfusions, accidental bacterial inoculation, and transplacental passage (2).
Merriam-Webster defines ‘parasite’ as ‘an organism that lives in or on another organism and benefits by deriving nutrients at the host 's expense’.
C. Finally, I will explain why rules need to be enforced in regard to helmet safety.
This disease may be on the brink of being eradicated entirely but that doesn’t stop it from being one of the grossest things that anyone has ever seen. The parasite enters the body via unsafe drinking water. When people drink water infected with water fleas that have have been hosting the larvae of the parasite. There are no symptoms, to begin with, but about one year later, blisters on the feet or legs begin to develop and then the adult fully developed worm crawls out of the host body over a period of a few weeks. It’s said that the pain is intense and can incapacitate a person for weeks at a time. The pain can also continue for months after the infection. The parasite needs to infect a person at least once a year in order to continue. There were an estimated 3.5 million cases in 1986 but the disease has been greatly reduced over time and only 22 cases were reported in 2015. This disease will probably be the first parasitic disease to be completely eradicated in humans.
Once your dog is infected with the parasitic worm the mosquito bites the next dog and the cycle continues. (Administration, Animal and Veterinary)
C. The quote above supporting the idea of the people without access to an education and illiterate, it is ease to
A. I asked my friend his opinion and he replied, “It’s their own fault. They do it to themselves by being lazy or with their drug habits.”
The mode of transmission is primarily person-to-person contact. Newly emerged impregnated females will crawl onto the uninfected person. The mite will hold onto the skin using suckers attached to the two most anterior pairs of legs. They will then burrow into the skin. Transmission may also occur via fomites (e.g., bedd...
c. And lastly, I've been talking about my parents' experiences with smoking, and they are one of the main reasons for choosing this topic for my speech. However, I am glad to say that 3 years ago on New Year's they made the decision to quit. It was a very hard decision for them to make but it was for the best. Thank you!
