Leanne Sarah Holland born 1st October 1978 was a 12year old girl from Goodna Queensland found murdered. Her body was discovered 8.9 kilometers from her home in nearby Redbank Plains down a dirt track on 26th September 1991. Holland lived with her dad Terry, older sister Melissa and sister’s de-facto partner Graham. Graham Stuart Stafford was a 28year old sheet metal worker from Goodna Queensland. On 25th March 1992, he was sentenced to 15years to life in prison for the murder of Holland. On Monday 23rd September 1991 was the last day Holland was seen alive by her family when they left to go to work. c) Human blood was found in the boot, lid and lip of Stafford’s red Gemini sedan 539 OXB. Was alleged body was transported in the trunk. d) Three items found in Stafford’s car: a blanket, a red and black sports bag and a CHUX cloth were found to have the same blood type as the deceased on them. This blood type is uncommon and only shared by 0.00005% of the population. e) A strand of hair found in Stafford’s boot believed to match the deceased hair. f) A maggot found in the boot of Stafford’s car was found that matched the same one taken from the deceased body on the 26th September when she was found. The maggots were of same age and type. g) Injuries inflicted on Leanne’s body suggested that whoever caused her injuries intended to cause death or grievous bodily harm. h) A hammer that is alleged to have caused blows to the deceased head, was reported missing after 23rd September 1991, by Melissa Holland. It is reported that Stafford kept it in their bedroom. i) Only Graham Stafford and Melissa Holland had keys to the boot of his car. There was enough evidence to support that Melissa had nothing to do with the deceased
