As well as LLL activity, team also presented positive and negative behaviour in each category; yet, team performed better and accomplished team’s goals. In task area, team made a clearer plan and having several supportive plans. As team realized that having a plan is very necessary and it could help team to have a central standard to follow, team then discussed and brainstormed about several designs of raft. Additionally, team organized suitable tasks for each person; hence, each member performed better and felt confident to do their job (Belbin, 2010). In team area, sense of teamwork was presented. After team got materials to build raft, we all finalized the plan and each team members communicated and discussed as a team not individual as we learnt from our experiences in the last 2 days’ activities in a camp. Team had improved performances because each member had learnt and accepted ‘each other’s strengths and weaknesses’ (Loynes, 2004). Moreover, during the race, team cheered up and talked to each other. In individual category, members were performed better and felt valued to the team because they were assigned to do the suitable tasks and were motivated by each other. That is, the diversity in a workplace tends to be the challenge factors for everyone in every organizational level. Hence, it is necessary for both managers and leaders to appreciate the diversities among co-workers, and exercise leadership and management practices in order to gain the highest efficiency on team performance. Referring to the Action-centred Leadership Model, it could be a helpful model because it provides an easy concept to follow and allows every people to use. The model provides 3 areas to concern, which are task, team and individual, and managers and leaders will gain the highest outcome when all areas are well balancing. My impression of leadership is the ability to motivate, inspire, set a visualization, connect, and lead by example. To become a successful leader you have to be able to convince your followers that you are trustworthy of being followed. During this semester, we have learned many, if not all of the major leadership theories and how they play a role in our everyday lives. But personally, a few of these leadership models caught me and intrigued me the whole semester so much that this paper is going to predominately be referenced about them. For example, the proposed framework that organizes leadership theories based on each theory 's focus and approach. Focus is referred to as whether or not leadership is viewed as a set of traits or actions.
The Everest team simulation was a valuable experience that taught me how to apply the foundations of the management course into real and first-hand team situations. The success of a team and their performance depends on their initial stage of development as well as their structure. A team with an established team structure and maturity over the different stages of group development proved to be extremely successful. The decision making and conflict resolution techniques were also influential in the overall performance of a team. Ultimately, effective communication is the key to success when working in a team. On the other hand, ineffective communication may be the team’s downfall. The simulation exercise was a solid example towards work group situations and is a valuable first-hand experience.
In generally, I want to possess a leisure leadership, which empower members to express their ideas and use their creativity to accomplish their tasks. In addition, I would like to listen to members’ ideas and make final decisions after comparing and evaluating their ideas; therefore, if I was a leader, I would encourage diversity and innovation of my members. In order to an effective leader, I still have to develop various skills such as collaboration skill, communication skill, and task-taking skill. First, to become a good leader, I should motivate the cooperation of among my members and continually request feedbacks from my members about their collaboration to make them feel like they are contributor of our team’s success. Second, I should develop effective communication skill to clearly explain the mission and policies of our team to my members to help behave properly. Third, I also need to develop risk-taking skill, which not only means that I should have confident and courage to take risks, but also means I should have problem solving skills to comply with risks and challenges.

The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of servant leadership, contingency, and path-goal styles of leadership to gain an understanding of current leadership models, identify this author’s style of leadership, and explore why leadership is important to organizations, society, and this author. A Personal Model of Leadership Servant leadership was a term that was first used by Keifner Greenleaf (1970) in his first essay, The Servant as Leader (as cited by Crippen, C., 2005). Greenleaf based his essay on his belief that a servant leader is a servant first, and explained that it would begin with the natural urge to serve and then the leader would make a conscious choice to become a leader, in doing so he makes the choice to ensure that others needs are met first (2005 ). As a servant leader develops he should always keep aware of those who he serves and strive to ensure that they are becoming healthier, wiser, freer, have an increase in autonomy, and become more like servants themselves (2005).

Path-goal theory deals with the leader's style to motivate followers, to accomplish set goals (Northouse, 2010). The path-goal theory is simply the implication that a leader works with an individual to establish a goal. The leader does this by individual motivation to achieve the proposed goal, while working through obstacles that may hinder achieving that goal (Whitener, 2007). The basic assumption of path-goal theory is that the following motivates subordinates: the capability to perform the work, their efforts will result in a certain outcome, and the payoff will be worthwhile (Whitener, 2007). The path-goal theory is a pragmatic approach that the leader uses to motivate the followers to achieve the set goals.
A particular approach to the idea of leadership style is provided by ROBERT R. Blake and JANE S. Mouton.
