An insightful woman whose name is Lauren Oliver wrote this young adult novel, Before I Fall. The novel is published by HarberCollins in February 14, 2010. Recently, Ry Russo-Young directed this novel to an American drama film. This fiction is expressing about a young girl who is kind of losing herself in daily school life fell into a cycle of the last day before the accident. Samantha Kingston is the main character who is the young high-school girl has a debonair life with full of good friends, hot boyfriend and nice appearance until the Friday, the accident, came. As everyone thought, her life ends. But Samantha woke up at the same Friday as well as days after until she realized… The reason why I am interested in is that the novel plays a …show more content…
No matter she realized the cycle or not she still spent the day in school and went to the party with her friends. The following is the coming of Juliet and her swear, everything happens exactly the same as yesterday, which is actually the last today. Samantha went back with Lindsay and other friends. Likewise, they got a car crash and this time she checked the time, it is 12:39 again. It is the third Friday, Samantha had the similar thought that is ‘In my dream I am failing forever through darkness.’ (130). She missed few periods of school and for some reasons, the four of them stays in Lindsay’s house that night. In the midnight, everybody got a message which says Juliet killed herself with a gun. Everyone was disturbed. What is more important, Samantha found out that Lindsay was friend with Juliet in few years ago…… They all fell asleep in Lindsay’s house but Sam woke up in her own house, her own bed and with her own alarm. Now, she is thinking about the relationship between Lindsay and Juliet. In my opinion, I think there must be some misunderstanding between them or may be because Juliet knew some secrets of …show more content…
She went to school and decided to send Juliet a rose and also Kent. Besides, Samantha also determined to make an honest apology to Juliet. To avoid the car accident between Lindsay’s car and Juliet, she required that Lindsay went to the party without her car. Everything was all set and waiting for the party at night. Likewise, Samantha met Juliet and kept her from the party. They had a drastic conversation. She wanted to rescue Juliet exceedingly when Juliet howled that it is too late and she denied it and said, ‘It is never too late! ’. Somehow, I assume that this is the most outstanding quote and the climax from the book. The reason why I consider this excerpt as my favorite is that I entirely agree that nothing is late if you start as soon as possible. For instance, if a friendship is broken by mistakes, instead of leaving the rupture, it would be comforting to have an apology no matter when. Looking back to their conversation, the despair is ingrained in Juliet’s heart, which led her had the thought of a firm determination of death. Here came a flash of van light, and Juliet followed. Although Samantha was confused about the appearance of the van, she tried to catch Juliet and she had a thought that she had to save Juliet even dedicate her life. There were only few centimeter between the van and Juliet, Samantha pushed Juliet vigorously at the last second. Suddenly, an earsplitting sound made by
At first Juliet is quite shocked, as her love for Romeo is destined and without him she believes
Juliet strategizes her disastrous plan and worries, “How if, when I am laid into the tomb, I wake before the time that Romeo come to redeem me?” (Lines 30-32 of Act Four, Scene Three). Juliet is desperate to see Romeo, ergo she plans to fake her death. Her thoughts of Romeo finding her lifeless foreshadows their future. Romeo is deprived of the news of Juliet’s real state of health, therefore he says, “Well, Juliet, I will lie with thee tonight. O mischief, thou art swift to enter the thoughts of desperate men!” (Lines 34-36 of Act Five, Scene One). Once again, Romeo’s perception is only focused on Juliet. His mental instability leads him to think Paris is in the way obtaining true happiness, thus he slays him. Romeo acquires poison, stands beside Juliet, and states, “Here’s to my love! (Drinks.) O true apothecary! Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die.” (Lines 119-120 of Act Five, Scene Three). Romeo observes Juliet’s body and determines that he should die beside her. Juliet wakes to his lifeless body, and determines she should commit suicide, as well. Romeo’s foolish decisions lead to the death of himself and
Her relationship with Juliet is very distant and weak. This is revealed by when she calls the nurse to ‘’come back again’’ when talking to Juliet. She becomes nervous and feels like she couldn’t talk to Juliet without the presence of the nurse. This suggests that she’s not used to being alone with Juliet and relies on the nurse to do the parenting. Now must I go to the monument alone; Within these three hours will fair Juliet wake; She will beshew me much that Romeo Hath had no notice of these accidents; But I will write again to Mantua, And keep her at my cell till Romeo come. " The final instance is probably the most tragic of them all. Here we are witnesses to Romeo, whose intentions are to be with his true love forever, shattered when Juliet awakes.
the Nurse wants Juliet to be safe and happy and that she is not just
She is worried about whether she “wake[s] before the time that Romeo comes to redeem [her]” (4.3,35-end). By this she means that she fears that Romeo will not be there by the time she wakes up and she will be stuck in the tomb with all the dead bodies which will in turn make her go crazy. Juliet, though she is not as bad as Romeo, still makes some adolescent choices that really affect her life, like marrying Romeo and also killing herself. In conclusion, in the play Romeo and Juliet both Romeo and Juliet make decisions that, because of their adolescents, are quick and are not thought through which really affects their lives and those of the people close to them.
When her mother comes in she assumes that Juliet is in mourning for Tybalt, ?Evermore weeping for your cousin?s death.? So Juliet just goes along with it ?feeling so loss, I cannot choose but ever weep the friend.?
" But she never did anything about this. She went along with the marriage that resulted in a death of the patient. Also Juliet was already engaged to Paris at the time, and she was happy with that and happy with her parents, she shouldn't have disobeyed them, then their love for each other would. never have happened before.

Juliet’s weakness to be controlled by love leads her to make unadvised and irresponsible decisions that contribute to her choice of ending her life. Characterized as a young and rash teenager, with no interest in love and marriage at first, Juliet wants to be independent. However, after she first lays eyes on Romeo, Juliet’s perception of love is quick to change. Their strong love easily manipulates and clouds her judgment. Even if she is cautious and realizes their love is too fast, the rush of feelings from having a first love overcomes her. Her soft-spoken words symbolically foreshadow the journey of Romeo and Juliet’s love. “Well, do not swear. Although I joy in thee, / I have no joy of this contract tonight. / It is too rash, too unadvised, too sudden;…/ This bud of love, by summer’s ripening breath, / May prove to be a beauteous flower when next we meet” (2.2. 117-123). The blooming flower is indicative of their growing love, especially Juliet. Being her first experience of true love, her actions become more rash the deeper she falls in, even ...
After finding out the nurse opinion on this matter, she decided to go to the Friar to find an answer to her dire situation. Romeo and Juliet have tried to find a way to be with each other but it seems fate could not have that who knows it’s maybe Romeo and Juliet could have lived if they thought this out and told everyone about their secret relationship it would of turned out better.
Juliet prophesies her own doom from her balcony, an acknowledgment that does nothing to curb the rashness she identifies in their twenty-four hour meeting, engagement, and marriage. It is of course impossible to gauge Shakespeare’s personal interpretations of his characters’ actions, and since the action of the story comes directly from a long narrative poem by Arthur Broke, and Broke got his material from a French story, which was adapted from an Italian work by Bandello, who was working from earlier texts, Shakespeare cannot exactly be looked to as the final authority for the moral worth of Romeo and Juliet’s actions anyway.
Juliet's Feelings in Act 3 Scene 2 of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet The act and scene we are analysing is a very important one. This is because of the way Juliet reacts towards the events that face her in this part of the story. This scene is the ultimate example to tell us how Juliet thinks, feels and reacts towards Romeo. Not only is it one of the most interesting parts of the story but it is the most exciting scene, truly we can explore how and why Juliet reacts in the ways she does.
After the way the treated her though? Her own mother won’t even speak to her. The Nurse? The Nurse is taking the easy way out. She tells Juliet to marry Paris.
