If you are a woman who has a normal, regular menstrual period and are many days late now, you probably would get a home pregnancy test. However, when the test comes out negative, you may be confused as to how this can happen. Actually, this is a common experience for many women and there are many possible explanations for this.
Late Period Negative Pregnancy Test—Why?
1. When You Are Pregnant
If you have missed your period and are starting to experience a few symptoms of early pregnancy, you may be starting to suspect that you are pregnant. However, if your home pregnacy test indicates a negative result, a few reasons may explain this occurrence:
The home pregnancy test you bought has a low level of sensitivity. The test kit could probably detect hCG (hormone of pregnancy) only at a certain level and is not sensitive to lower levels. Therefore, if you take the test too early, when your hormone levels are not yet very high, the test may come back negative. This is why some brands require you to do the test a day after you missed your period. So if you really want to know if you are pregnant as early as possible, use a brand with high sensitivity levels and follow instructions to ensure accuracy of results. This includes using your urine sample first thing in the morning, when it is most concentrated. Try to learn using the test kit and reading the results after the recommended time. Look for the control line, which you will use to compare your results to make the test valid. Give it time to complete the reaction (about 5-10 minutes) before reading and discarding the kit.
The urine you used was diluted by a large amount of water you drank before taking the test. If you did not use the first urine in the morning, which is concent...

If you think you have already waited long enough and still get negative results, it probably means you are not pregnant. Find out if this is just a temporary delay in your menstrual cycle due to stress or other factors, or if this is due to a medical problem, which needs further investigation.
Summary:
There are several reasons why a late period but negative pregnancy test can happen, including the type of home pregnancy test used and the way it was done, as well as factors that can affect a woman's hormonal balance.

Since drug testing centers do not typically check for a sample’s validity, testing authorities use an improvised technique of checking the sample’s temperature. Urine is warmed by the body, and it only logically follows that a fresh sample should also be warm. Otherwise, it must have come from somewhere other than your body.
This would give us an extra measure of accuracy each time. Another way to improve the experiment and to produce consistent readings was to used distilled water. This is because the distilled water contains no impurities and therefore no hardness in water.

The child that I tested will be referred to as K.L. I tested her on April 14th 2016. K.L. is 2 years old, with her exact age being 2 years 9 months and 14 days. I called and asked her mother if she would mind dropping K.L. off with me for a few hours so I could perform the test, and then pick her back up after the test was complete. This test more accurate when the caregiver is not present. K.L. has a step sister and a baby brother on the way. She has always been in the daycare setting, because her grandmother is a provider. K.L. was delivered full term via planned cesarean section due to her mother’s small pelvis. There was no complications during this pregnancy. Around the beginning of week four, the mother’s menstrual cycle stops. Multiple variables are too be taken into account as to why this happens. For starters this prevents the embryo from being washed away due to how small it is. The corpus luteum secretes progesterone, which stops stimulating hormones that cause your ovary eggs to stop growing. Without a new egg there is no possible way for the woman to get pregnant. Week five is starting to
Teenage pregnancy causes physical health issues for both the mother and child. Its been stated, “9% of teen girls have low birth weight babies under 5.5 pounds.”(Howard Hughes) This can result in abnormalities in the child. Teens who get pregnant at a young age tend to be under nourished or battle with premature or prolonged labor (Howard Hughes), which can cause mental and physical side effects for the newborn. Some effects on the teenage mother are they are at risk of getting anemia, high blood pressure, placental problems, and pregnancy includes hypertension (Howard Hughes). The teen and child going through the pregnancy is such a risky situation for both the child and mother. “Teen mothers are less likely to gain adequate weight during the pregnancy leading to low birth weight” (Stanley Swierzewski). Low birth weight can cause health problems for the baby that can last through their lifetime. Many things can happen that lead to life long physical problems from substance abuse to complications in the pregnancy due to the age of the mother.

Several causes for teen pregnancy are: the need for affection, acceptance, and unprotected sex. One may have a poor home life and look for affection from a peer. The simple desire to feel loved by another person may be a cause for an unexpected pregnancy. A teen may have a low self-esteem and simply be looking for acceptance in the bedroom. However, many teens that have a wonderful, affectionate family and are very confidante are merely looking for the few minutes of pleasure and avoid using protection. As several teens use the excuse that sex feels better with out a condom, an unwanted pregnancy is likely to occur.
