She continued with her songwriting throughout middle and high school, and by age 14 was performing original songs in night clubs in New York City. Later on, she was one out of the 20 people in the entire world, who received early admission from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She later dropped out and decided to pursue the music industry on her own. She performed in nightclubs throughout the city and helped write music for artists like Britney Spears and New Kids on the Block, until she was discovered by Akon. Music artist Akon discovered her talent through her own burlesque show that she directed and starred in called, “Lady Gaga and the Starlight Revue”. Her stage name Lady Gaga was inspired from one of her favorite songs, “Radio Ga-Ga”. She later signed with Akon and his record label company, and that is when her music career took flight. Her most famous songs come from her first two albums, “The Fame” and “The Fame Monster”. These albums include her very first chart toppers, such as “Just Dance” and “Poker Face”. There is a saying that goes “don’t live in the past” because things will always get better in the future and that you should let time work itself out. People often think of their pasts and let that dictate their future, which in many cases keeps people from achieving their full potential. People become blinded by their pasts and the good memories they’ve had which turns to them seeking the same thing to satisfy themselves because they’ve become comfortable and do not want change. They may not want change because they are scared of what is to come or because of getting hurt again like they have in previous experiences. A prime example of this is Erykah Badu’s song “Bag lady” as it explains how people should let go of their pasts and look to the future.

Her parents names are Patrick Martin Lovato and Dianna De La Garza. Her father was an engineer and her mother was a former Dallas Cowboy cheerleader. In 1994 her parents divorced and her mom, Demi and her sister moved to Dallas, Texas. There, her mother remarried and Demi gained two half sisters. Although she was on “Barney & Friends” as a child, most people know her from her years as an actress and an occasional singer on disney channel. She co-starred in the famous movie series “Camp Rock” and also in the television series “Sonny with a Chance.” After these acting positions, Lovato began a career in singing. She has released many albums and has had many hit songs such as “Heart Attack” and “Cool for the Summer.” In 2012 and 2013, Lovato was a judge on “The X Factor” (Wikipedia).
