I am pleased to be applying for the role of KS2 Class Teacher at Ryelands Primary and Nursery School. I am attracted to this post as I see my values and philosophy of teaching fitting with those of your school. Valuing every child as an individual and being all inclusive are key to my philosophy, whilst I am fully dedicated and committed to providing the best quality of education for all children, with my full belief in their ability to achieve and succeed. It is clear from your Ofsted report that the entire staff of the school has worked exceptionally hard in their commitment to raising standards, which is reflected in your “Good” inspection. This is particularly noted in your results in teaching, as well as behaviour, attendance and progress. …show more content…
As the ICT curriculum changed to focus on coding, my skills are essential for this. I use ICT within my lessons to enhance them, for instance, I use tablets for interactive games, which whilst enjoyable, are independent and I can monitor progress. My skills in Maths were used at the Cathedral to provide booster and intervention groups in both key stages. Whilst working in Year 6, I gave daily booster groups using Springboard and also taught those sitting the Level 6 paper. Within Key Stage 1, I provided intervention groups in Maths for addition and subtraction skills, planning the sessions and using games as an engaging activity, but to practise and reinforce skills. These groups all proved successful, particularly in bridging gaps in knowledge, as well as enhancing their calculation …show more content…
At the Cathedral, I worked in a class, key stage and teaching assistant team. I am always approachable and my personality allows me to build rapport, working successfully within a team. I value my inclusion within a staff team and it adds to the joy and support from working within a school. Being valued as a member of staff is a key importance, and I respect and value highly every member of staff I work with, learning from their experience, whilst sharing my own. Having worked as support staff, I can relate highly to the role. Support staff play a vital role in the class team, and I fully support them, using their skills and expertise to the fullest, whilst supporting them in unsure areas, creating a close, positive class team. Having provided emergency supply, I can quickly take on change and adapt to new
2. I have the ability to share a sense of vision and also an uplifting energy. I can create and build a team so they can eventually reach their peak potential. Finally, I take responsibility for driving things forward and can identify the need of change and initiate a change when it is needed. As an orientation leader during orientation, I will be able to showcase my strengths by combining random upcoming students from different walks of life and provide them with the tools
There are a lot of reasons why I chose to pursue pharmacy as my career and they all point to the most important reason: pharmacy is a great fit for my life and is something I have become increasingly passionate about. It started when I was researching careers with my parents and my dad suggested pharmacy and, simply put, it sparked my interest because at the time it was one of the few things I thought I would not hate doing. A healthcare career has always been where I put myself in the future, mainly because most of my family members are in the healthcare field. However, I have never been one that could directly help the wounded or deal with anything gory, but am very intrigued by the growing science of pharmacy. As I continue exploring pharmacy, the more I enjoy learning about it and feel like I could excel in this career.
Soaked under sweat, I stood on the running machine, took a deep breath, and counted in my mind, one…two… three, GO! With renewed power and confidence, I started to run again with satisfaction. This moment happened every day in last summer at a gym and I lost 62pounds. Had persisted for five months, I am so proud of myself that I am able to achieve the goal of losing weight and established high self-discipline. In addition, I have gained great appreciation for the challenges. However, I also have grown up from this, on the other hand, frustrated experience. Not because the process of losing weight was painful, but because my by-product of the weight loss journey, my online team.
Since my appointment to the Hillingdon School I have been afforded the opportunity to play an integral role in moving forward the ICT and Business Departments and the Technologies Curriculum Area. These roles, accompanied with the time that I have spent on the whole school ICT Development Group, have allowed me to build up a strong set of skills, experience and knowledge that has helped prepare me for a senior position within a very successful school. Indeed, my experience of working within a school that achieved the top grade in each of the Inspection Key Questions has provided me with an awareness of what is required for continuous school improvement and striving for educational excellence.
Whoosh!A bed whizzed by, surrounded by about 6 medical personnel. “What’s going on?” I thought immediately with apprehension. I knew whatever was happening it was not ideal. Ensuring I was not in the way, I stood on my toes to see what demanded so much attention. To my astonishment, I saw a coin sized hot-pink little girl. She could not have been bigger than two quarters lying side by side. She was struggling! Even with all the procedures the doctors were executing to save her life, she was performing the most work.
For the lead teacher interview assignment, I had the opportunity to sit down with and interview my son’s EC teacher from last year, Mrs. Hamm. Since my son started at the school last year, Mrs. Hamm has helped him in so many different ways. Mrs. Hamm has been teaching for over 20 years from her home state of Pennsylvania and more currently at Mount Energy Elementary School in Creedmoor, NC. Mrs. Hamm has been teaching at Mount Energy Elementary School in Creedmoor, NC for the last 12 years and recently awarded “Teacher of the Year”. Mrs. Hamm, up until this school year, was the main EC teacher for all grades Kindergarten through fifth grade at Mount Energy Elementary School. As of the present school year, the school district made the determination that she was over the acceptable number of students. As a result, they decided to hire an additional EC teacher and assistant to teach grades 3-5th and Mrs. Hamm would teach grades K-2. Mrs. Hamm was the teacher of 18 students until this decision was made, now with grades K-2, she has 9 students in her class.
My perseverance has prepared me for a career in medicine. The path towards becoming a physician can be long and challenging, necessitating the ability to endure. My ability to bounce back from setbacks and mistakes has solidified throughout my journey. One of the cornerstone experiences of my personal development occurred during high school. My determination led to me my graduating as valedictorian of my class, while balancing three varsity sports and several extracurricular activities. In addition, I worked on weekends to help support my family financially. This persistence resulted in scholarship awards that made higher education a possibility.
My best (and favorite) subject in school is Math. Ever since I was very little I have loved math, and worked very hard at it. When I do not fully understand topics I do extra problems to make sure that they become clear to me. I spend a lot of time working on math to make sure I understand the topics throughly. I have been in math clubs since 4th grade, and in 7th grade I represented my school at the MathCounts® competition where I won a two silver pins. I won the Virginia State Math Award in 7th grade, and this year I got an 800 in math on my SSAT. As a result of my hard work I am currently one of three students in my school to be in the highest math group, Precalculus.
I was able to acquire so many new skills while at my placement. I learned time management skills, as i was required at times to help the students with a task, but be done by the bell or when it was time to switch subjects. I also learned the technical skill of learning to work her interactive board, and learning to photocopy work, and even forms that went school wide. I learned to be more patient as i was faced with a child
Since the beginning of my academic endeavors, I have long cherished a dream to be a member of the social science research community, which gives our society progressive insights into human ecology. I began my undergraduate studies at Ramapo College of New Jersey with a passion for ecological justice and with the intention of majoring in environmental studies. Ramapo College’s progressive liberal arts foundation provided me with ample room to explore the multifarious array of social science courses. As I took more social science courses, however, my understanding of human social groups underwent a metamorphosis. As a result, I decided to pursue a degree in Social Science, with minors in the two fields I felt most passionately interested in, Women’s Studies and African American Studies.

In addition to whole school responsibilities in secondment I was also asked to lead the Maths department during a period of instability improving A*- C by 5% resulting in the highest Mathematics results the school has achieved to date of 74%. My career progressed to Core Assistant Headteacher in 2013 responsible for Child Protection, Pastoral care, Transition and subject line management. Prior to this I was employed at Chatsmore Catholic High School for six years where I held the post of Subject
In February 2014, I worked at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival as a guest support. One of the things I liked the most were my managers. They were people with higher education and many years of experience as their background, but they were also people that cared a lot about their staff and the students. They assured that everyone knew their responsibilities, what to do if something went wrong and how to be safe. Moreover, the managers had the opportunity to work with so many different students from different cultures, and they were able to accommodate themselves to the students’ values. My experience at the festival was very positive, and I liked the way my superiors did not look like bosses just ordering around, but they looked like leaders guiding and caring about their personnel. Therefore, the skills and knowledge I have acquired at my job and volunteering experiences have helped me to be more aware of what to do and not to do when leading others. When I become a manager, I want to be the kind of leader that knows how to do things flawlessly so that I can show and teach others how to do a good job while nurturing the employees with positive and constructive criticism. In my values, I consider myself a huge believer in furthering one’s education. I consider that the more experience and knowledge I gain the better I become because I have developed a heightened value of what I have been
This experience as a whole provided me with the opportunity to show my professional quality as an educator, a cooperative team member, and a lifelong learner. A few things that I continuously had to reflect on throughout this experience was my self-competence, my performance as well as the children’s, and of course my professional demeanor which directly impacted the effectiveness of my planning, teaching and...
My strengths are the ability to interaction with students. I will try to use my time to build positive relationship with individuals and keep record of their behaviors, characteristics and specific concerns. This will allow the students to trust me and allow me
