Brandon James is known as the love killer. He doesn’t like anything about couples. If he see’s a couple holding hands or kissing in public he would take a picture of them, and then figure out where they live, and kill them. The reason that he is like this is because when he was in highschool he fell in love with this girl online, but what he did not know is that she had lived down the street from him. So after they had first met in person she didn't know that he had an accident when he was little that hot boiling water had poured on his face and messed his face up. When Mailor-Callow offers Jamal a scholarship, Forrester tells Jamal that he knows he will accept the offer because Jamal’s current school cannot offer Jamal the answer to a question he needs answered: What does Jamal wish to do with his life? William and Jamal’s relationship is beginning to form and William reveals Jamal’s true self to him in order to nudge him to make the right decision. He informs Jamal that his present school does not fit his desire to write. Jamal also helps Forrester in the words of Rob Brown, whom Levy quotes approvingly, “Jamal Gradually becomes committed not only to his own writing, but to cracking Forrester’s shell” (Levy, 2000, p. 2). Since Jamal and William become trusting friends, Jamal hopes to break his shell, meaning Jamal wishes to unveil Forrester’s true self, a man with a passion for writing.
In conclusion, because Brandon knew he would be hated for what he was, keeps trying to prove himself too much, and flaunts his dreams, what happens to Brandon has been brought upon himself. This doesn’t justify what happens, and it does not in any way put the blame on Brandon, but it is true that Brandon had many warnings and many opportunities to escape the terrible situation he was in, and he didn’t take any of those options.
A developed relationship can be interpreted as one where the couple is interdependent, tolerant, and dedicated. Equity allows a relationship to efficiently develop in this manner. Judith Viorst illustrates a poem depicting a couple’s struggles and their sacrifices for the other in “True Love”. In many points of the poem, the couple is compromising for the other’s flaws in order to avoid unnecessary conflicts. “I do not resent watching the Green Bay Packers / Even though I am philosophically opposed to football” (Stanza 1) is an example of the wife forcing herself

Then after her marriage with Logan, her luck did not change with her next husband Joe who promised her nothing, but lies. Yet again promises persuaded her into another marriage where she was not happy as Joe went back on the words he promised her

Growing up with 2 siblings and a single mother was hard but they managed, and after becoming the first in his family to graduate college, he became the owner of a small repair shop in downtown Compton. All went well until he became involved in gang activity. Just 5 months after graduating and becoming the hero in his family, he was killed in a drive by shooting. “He’s not a bad kid, He was just being ignorant,” James’ mother Chantal said. Ignorance is what clouds our minds and conquers our rational decision making. It can be allegorized as the ultimate evil which sways people from their conscious selves and makes them blinded by a lack

During the Middle Ages, Courtly love was a code which prescribed the conduct between a lady and her lover (Britannica). The relationship of courtly love was very much like the feudal relationship between a knight and his liege. The lover serves his beloved, in the manner a servant would. He owes his devotion and allegiance to her, and she inspires him to perform noble acts of valor (Schwartz). Capellanus writes, in The Art of Courtly Love, “A true lover considers nothing good except what he thinks will please his beloved”. The stories of Marie de France and Chrétien de Troyes illustrate the conventions of courtly love.

This was my first time viewing The Love Witch by Anna Biller. I enjoyed every aspect of it. It was extremely theatrical and intellectual. I also loved the actress who played Elaine and how she performed the character. It was an overperformance that painted Elaine as the ultimate femme fatale, she is the literal personification of male fear towards women.
