1) According to the book Conrad meets the criteria for having PTSD. Some of the major signs were nightmares, irritable, lying, intrusive thoughts, flashbacks due to brother’s death and acting out. He is consistently thinking negative thought and blames himself for the loss of his brother. I feel Conrad show signs of depression as well as PTSD. He has trouble sleeping, loss of appetite, suicide attempt, stressed, lack of social life with he friends, and lack of a relationship with his mother making it hard for him. I fell PTSD has more of an affect on his life though.
2) Dr. Burger way of therapy was questioning Conrad and that helped him open up more as the sessions progressed. Dr. Burger was always testing Conrad by pushing his buttons,
