Jorge Mario Pedro Vargas Llosa was born as a middle class family on March 28,1936 in Arequipa,Peru. Vargas Llosa is a famous Peruvian writer,politician,journalist,essayist and college professor.As a child he had a pretty sad childhood. His parents were Ernesto Vargas Maldonado and Dora Llosa Ureta which sadly divorced before Mario’s birth. His father Ernesto, told that he was starting to fall in love with a German women that the result lead to Mario to have two younger brothers named Enrique and Ernesto Vargas. Mario Vargas Llosa did lived in Arequipa until the parents divorce and until his grandfather moved to Cochabamba,Bolivia where he also spent the rest of his young childhood. Vargas Llosa was led to believe that his father had died and his mom didn’t want to explain that his parents had separated. His grandfather José Bustamante y Rivero put a diplomatic post in city of Piura and the whole family went back to Peru. At age 10 ten, Vargas Llosa went to Lima,Peru to go see his father and through his teenage he studied at the Colegio La Salle, a Christian middle school, from 1947 to 1949. During 1950-1952, he was sent to the Leoncio Prado Military Academy in Lima,Peru and started to work as a journalist for the newspaper and published his first dramatic work called La huida del Inca (The escape of the Inca). In 1953, Vargas Llosa enrolled in the National University of San Marcos to study literature and law. After 1955,things had started to get a little better for Vargas Llosa but still had some bad times. Vargas married a girl named Julia Urquidi who was his uncle’s sister in law at the age 19.
