Murdered long into the Christmas night. Killer unknown, motive unknown. The mystery of JonBenet has sprung up many theories about who killed her, why they killed her and where they are today. The mystery of JonBenet has formed many theories about who killed her. It could have been some sex crazed pedophile who had snuck into the house and raped and murdered JonBenet. However, this theory doesn’t really add up. Burke, JonBenet’s brother could have thrown a fit and swung a flashlight and killed JonBenet and the parents strangled her and covered everything up. An intruder could’ve broke into the house and knocked JonBenet in the head with something and then strangled her. No one knows why they did this, though. No one knows who killed JonBenet, …show more content…
It could have been Burke, who was most likely jealous of JonBenet so he decided to take action. “An even darker theory postulates that Burke was neglected by his parents, who spent most of their time doting on their daughter, and his jealousy could have pushed him to murder.” (Baila) It could have been a pedophile who fantasized about doing things with JonBenet’s body that I will not state at this time and they took action. “The community also had a seemingly high concentration of potential creeps, with 38 registered sex offenders living within two miles of the family's house at the time of the murder.” (Edwards) JonBenet could’ve done something to Burke that rustled his jimmies and Burke snapped and struck JonBenet and the parents freaked out and tried to cover everything up. What makes this case especially interesting is that no one knows who would do such a vile thing to an innocent little girl. Where are the suspected murderers today? One of the biggest suspects in the case were JonBenet’s parents. JonBenets mother, Patsy died of ovarian cancer in June 26, 2006. Another big suspect in the case is Burke. Burke did an interview with Dr. Phil where he was smiling and laughing the entire time. Burke is now living a quiet life. All of the biggest suspects seem to be living pretty normal lives now despite everything that has gone on. In the case of JonBenet no one really knows what happened. However, the mystery has inspired many theories about who the murderer was, why they did it, and where they are
The Jonbenet Ramsey case has remained unsolved for twenty years now, and I realize, it might not ever be solved, but I do have a theory. My theory involves three different things, the build up, the murder and the cover-up. In the end, I do not think that there was an intruder that broke in the house, the evidence just doesn’t add up to that. I feel as if somebody in the family killed her, and the Ramseys covered it up. If you go even deeper, John Ramsey could have compensated John Mark Karr to take the blame, and to get some of all of the post-murder weight off of his chest. In order to find who killed J.B.R., we have to look into the Ramseys’ lives first. We know that the Ramseys had money, a lot of it. And the odd amount of money in the ransom note just doesn’t make any
Growing up in a small town you would never expect for a family to get murdered. Many people have the perception that in a small-town things, never happen. Well I’m sure that’s what Herbert and Bonnie Clutter thought to until the night of their death. Herbert and Bonnie Clutter lived in Holcomb, Kansas with their two kids Nancy and Kenyon on their family farm. The Clutter family was very respected within the community and in Garden City. Herbert was also a very respected employer. The Clutter family lived a very disciplined but still enjoyable and well provided for.
After reading ‘The Murder of Helen Jewett” it gave me insight on how crime in New York City was in the 1830’s and another view on how life for men and women differed. The book starts off talking about Dorcas Doyen famously known as Helen Jewett and how she was highly thought of but then the news comes out of nowhere with several stories about her past some twisted to make her seem as bad as a prostitute who has bounced around a few times could be seen. But her actual story was that she was born in 1814 in Temple, Maine to a regular working family. She lost both of her parents at a young age her mother died when she was at the early ages of her life and he father who was an alcoholic died shortly after her mother. She was put in a home, orphaned
Sue Grafton once stated: “Except for cases that clearly involve a homicidal maniac, the police like to believe murders are committed by those we know and love, and most of the time they're right.” This is clearly the thought the Boulder Colorado police conceived in the case of little beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey. As many have observed from the onslaught of media coverage, the day after Christmas 1996, six year old Jon Benet Ramsey was found buried under a white blanket, bound, beaten, and strangled to death in the wine cellar of their Boulder home. With such a strikingly rare and glamorous story of a six year old beauty queen dead, who was a part of a “perfect American upper-middle class family”, combined with a lack of a lead and ever mounting suspicion piling up against the parents it was no surprise to find that it was fuel to the media and soon stories sold and became a matter of competition between the press. So, like wildfire, this heart-breaking story spread, stretching across the nation, shattering the souls of the world. News broadcasts, magazine and newspaper articles, and television specials all shaped and molded peoples perceptions of this beautiful child’s murder, especially her parents, John and Pasty Ramsey’s involvement or lack there of. The police and FBI’s merciless quest to connect Jon Benet’s murder to her parents, seemed to cause the them to overlook important evidence, or at the very least dismiss suspicious findings that would otherwise send red flags to investigators. There are many contributors as to why this case remains unsolved including lack of investigative expertise, failure to protect valuable evidence, and focusing too much on the parents as suspects but, ultimately, the over involvement of...
clear to me that the Ramsey family murdered JonBenet. I think that Burke, her older
The events leading up to her murder were typical events for a family on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve night, the whole family attended a Christmas party at a friend’s house. They came home at about 9:30 PM and JonBenet was carried upstairs to her bedroom at 10:00 PM. This was the last time she was seen alive. The next morning at about 5:00 AM Patsy found a ransom note on the bottom of the staircase. The note described the kidnapping of JonBenet and demanded $180,000 or JonBenet would be killed. Patsy quickly went to JonBenet’s room and, just as the note had stated, she had been kidnapped. Patsy...
In chapter 3 of the Crime and Justice in America textbook, Joycelyn Pollock provides information about the three theories of crime. These theories help us to explain the motivation behind different criminal acts. The reasons why one would commit a crime may be due to biological, psychological, or sociological influences. This paper will explore the high profile cases of The State vs. Casey Anthony and The United States vs. Enron, and link them to one the theories of crime causation detailed by Pollock in chapter 3. We will explore the evidence of what motivated these people to commit the crimes they were charged with.

He entered the home of Evelyn Miroth. She was babysitting her infant nephew, David, and her son, Jason. Also in the home was Dan Meredith who was watching the children while Evelyn took a bath. On his way inside, he shot and killed Dan and proceeded to steal his wallet and car keys. He then followed Jason under his mother’s bed to shoot and kill him as well. He also shot and killed David on his way to kill Jason. He then found Evelyn in the bathtub and shot her in the head. He drug her body onto a bed and raped the corpse while drinking blood from cuts he placed on her neck. He then ejaculated an unusual amount of times on her and then stabbed her anus several times. All of her blood was drained into a bucket and he drank all of it. A girl knocked on the door, supposedly on a play date with Jason, and startled Richard. He fled the scene in Dan’s car and left trails of shoe and hand prints to his home. He even took Dan’s body with him to consume later.

Two detectives were assigned to the case: Harry Hanson and Finis Brown. [2] When they and the police arrived at the crime scene, it was already swarming with people, gawkers and reporters. The entire situation was out of hand and crowded, everyone trampling all over any hopes for good evidence. [2] One thing they did report finding was a nearby cement block with watery blood on it, tire tracks and a heel print on the ground. There was dew under the body so they knew it had been set there just after 2 a.m. when temperatures dropped to 38 degrees.
In my opinion, the most suspicious suspect would be Druitt. The reason why I believe it was Druitt is because there is no way that many things could be “coincidental”. He “unexpectedly” dismissed after being a school teacher for years, at the exact same time it began with the Ripper. For reasons that have never been solved, a month later his body was found
Demonology theory in this crime was seen when the parents were just so evil and had no remorseful feelings about what they did. It was like they were out of their body and doing this just because they wanted too.
Girls killed, brother arrested Boston, 28 November: A 12 year old girl was found stabbed to death in her bedroom, by her father late in the night. Melissa Lynn was stabbed once in the stomach. The murder weapon, a sharp knife, without any finger prints, was found on her body. Her father, George Lynn on returning from work, expected to find her at home. She did not respond to his repeated calls and he assumed she was out with friends. At 2300 hours, he got worried when neither Melissa nor her 16 year old brother, Wayne, returned home. Lynn went upstairs to check them in their separate rooms and found Melissa dead, lying on the floor near the door of her room. There were signs of struggle in the room. Lynn called 911, but Melissa was dead since over two hours. Wayne Lynn did not come home at night. The elder sister, Chelsea Lynn, 18, wants Wayne charged with the cold blooded murder of his younger sister, who Chelsea claims had confided in her earlier in the week that Wayne was ‘touching’ her. The Lynn’s have had a troubled family history. All three children were given into the custody...
