Paragraph #1: Introduce each character and the role they serve in the story. The boy who plays Jack in The Lord of the Flies is a tall boy who is on the choir team. Jack serves the role, the leader, in this book. Jack believes that he is the best leader and the strongest of the group of boys. Johnny, from The Outsiders, plays the younger boy in the group called the “Greasers.” Johnny is a boy who is growing up in a dangerous hood type area. Jack's strengths are intimidating and broad. His weakness is not being able to have power over the other boys. He serves the purpose of being the person who tells people what to do and tells them how to hunt for food. In the end, Jack goes crazy and ends up killing multiple of the boys in the group.
