Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel's Lives and Music Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel are two very significant composers from the Baroque period. A fugue consists of three sections, an exposition, a development and a recapitulation. The fugue begins with a ‘subject’ and in this particular piece the ‘answer’ comes in straight away after the main theme has been played and finished.
