I do believe that calling jazz Classical music can hurt the way one perceives the rest of jazz because when one hears classical music one expects an elegant, perfect to note, instrumental and well executed performance. Jazz is more of an improvised type of art where the musician has more liberty to do what they feel will make a more memorable performance. When someone hears the same song/beat again they may become upset because it was played differently by another musician because they didn't know it was improvised because it was labeled as classical music. That person will have the mind set that when they hear the song again it will be played exactly the same as when they heard it the first time. Not until recently was classical music started to be altered and mixed with newer genres on YouTube by YouTubers which in a sense makes them producers. This form of altered classical music has become more popular on YouTube, but has also spread furry amongst those who listen to the regular classical music of Wolfgang and Beethoven's times. Classical Music is known as the roots/foundation to all other types of genres that followed. One may be persuaded to believe that modern music was derived from jazz and that jazz is now frozen in time. Unlike classical music like the article states which is played exactly note by note as written on the paper. Jazz is still not frozen in time, jazz still has that section where one can alter or improvise what they feel will bring the music to life. When one thinks classical they think old times as well. Jazz is not old. Jazz is still played in today's societies and their are still jazz bands that make their own jazz music. This just proves that jazz is not frozen in time like the title people want to give it
