Prologue - Wishful thinker - Someone’s POV “Ugh,” I grunted upon opening my eyes, staring at the ceiling. Tomorrow I’ll probably never see this place again. Yawning, I rose from the comfort of my bed. The sun’s bright rays are clouded by the thickness of the every present coastal fog. Gazing from my bedroom window, you could hear birds in the distance. Perks of living near the edge of the neighbourhood - animals all over the place. To be honest, I’m not a fan of nature, or very outdoorsy. But hey, who wouldn't want a cheap house with tons of space. Getting dressed, I searched the room for my one missing sock, before bumping into an easel. Lifting my head up to examine it, the canvas was mostly blank. But the tree I’ve drew looked beautiful …show more content…
Outside the window, the mist had already dissipated, mostly. It seems that the sea breeze had begun to blow. The sunlight shone in. As I rested my head on my elbows, I finally received a lovely view of Jason. His features were sharp with a defined snout, extremely beautiful deep blue eyes and nice yellow fur. His shoulders were wide, chest broad and biceps toned. Jason's scent was pleasant too, the distinctive smell of musky campfires with resin and a hint of peppermint alongside aftershave. Overall, he was tall (probably 182 cm) lean and muscular, more-or-less necessary for a forward in soccer. If only he loves me too. This is such a silly thought, he certainly deserves someone much better. My gaze shifts to my own reflection in the glass window. I mean, look at me. The messy fur with the colour of hydrated copper sulfate; contrasted against the bright, disorienting neon yellow eyes. Average in height (172 cm) but rather skinny. Nothing impressive, maybe cute, in a scruffy way. But, the main question is - am I his type. “What do you boys want to eat? It's on the house.” Joyce’s voice pulled me back to reality. “Seafood burrito.” Jason said without
Mitchell does this by giving us the first time his problem began, in which his problem is stammering. Hangman is the name Jason gives his stammer, that is because he developed his problem over the game, hangman. Jason, being embarrassed by his stammer, sets out to become a poet as poetry is the only time and place for him to be able to speak his mind without the torture of his stammer. Madame Crommelynck teaches Jason about what beauty really is. How being truthful is beautiful, “True poetry is truth”(Mitchell, 155) and that “Hangman” is his best poem since it is the truth of his speech impediment. She says beauty cannot be created, just that beauty is; beauty is in everything. “the master knows his words is just the vehicle in who beauty sits in”(Mitchell, 147) proving her belief in how beauty is unavailable to description. Jason did not only deal with the concept of beauty but also himself in society, individual identity. Jason feels it is gay to be writing poetry which is his reasoning for using a pseudonym. He is conflicted with having to hide under such because he feels the need to “fit in” with his fellow peers. The expectations of his family also come into play because if “your dad works at Greenland Supermarkets and if you go to a comprehensive school” (Mitchell, 154) then much different would have been expected out of
A story of his adventures and slight misfortunes Lucius: the traveler and protagonist, the story is of his journey. In the Golden Ass, Lucius was inspired by his own self-will and allows his curiosity to overcome him, ignoring the advice from other peoples. At the beginning of the story, Lucius is fascinated by witchcraft and unreality things. This as a result made Lucius turned into a donkey and has lots of crazy adventures. In the end, Lucius regrets of his actions, embraces the monastery, lives like a normal human being again, and bless God. Lucius may have acted in a manner where he could not control and this certainly appears. This made him look like naive person.People must
Jason pictures himself in a world where he won’t be distracted, which will give him the opportunity to focus and achieve his goals. He started thinking about it, planning what he’ll do and how he’s going to make the best out his second chance. “He won’t be like his dad, he thinks, he won’t waste his chances. He’ll grab what comes and run with it” (Allison 34). It will be all about him and the basement, who he will become, who he was meant to become. “In the basement, they won’t feed him much, so he will get all dramatic skinny. He could learn to eat imaginary meal meals and taste every bite-- donuts and hot barbecue wings and stay all skinny and pure. He’s going to come out that basement Brad-Pitt handsome and ready for anything” (Allison 34-35). In his mind, these are all the opportunity that he’ll get to become who he wants to be.
events that may be an influence on Jason’s behavior and adaptation to his home life, home life
Physical Features: Jason is tall and skinny; he has short brown hair and deep blue eyes.
You are the light in my life, my happiest thought in the darkest of times. I know that you’re always there for me, no matter what. I have so many wonderful memories with you in the time that we have been together. It seems that everything about you fills my heart with love, even a simple smile makes my heart beat faster. Even after a year being with you, I find myself falling more and more in love with you each time I’m with you. It’s like an endless sea; the moment I think I cannot love you anymore, you do something so warm and thoughtful, and the ocean overflows. I find it hard to put into words just how much you mean to me, because I feel as if there are not enough words in the world to say how I truly feel towards you. You have flipped my whole world upside-down, I never knew how committed and passionate I could be for
However, Jason is easily one of the most hypocritical, deranged, and unlikeable characters in the novel. He becomes increasingly twisted as time goes on as he continues to embezzle money from his family. Since the rest of his family shows little respect and love towards Jason, the one and only thing Jason displays any affection towards is money. Money personifies the comfort he lacks from his entire family. His lack of guilt for essentially stealing money is quite bizarre and at one instance he explains that he “…counted the money again that night and put it away, and I didn’t feel so bad.” Would a sane person feel a sense of warmth and comfort in stealing money? Additionally to Jason’s materialistic nature, as an adult, Jason is a flamboyant misogynist and feels like the world is against him. He also has a strong hatred towards black people, northerners, and Jews. At one point, he even explains that “"I give every man his due, regardless of religion or anything else. I have nothing against the Jews as an individual, it’s just the race. You’ll admit that they produce nothing.” His hypocrisy and prejudice make him oblivious to his own faults. In addition to his overall negative outlook on life, Jason is preoccupied with Caddy just like the other brothers. Caddy’s husband, Herbert, retracted the job offer he had for Jason when he divorced Caddy. Jason blames Caddy for this incident which drives and boosts the bitterness and anger within Jason. He is unable to take personal responsibility for events in his life making him increasingly angry and eventually
The director threw me the ball a few times, and I practiced hitting it in order to give me confidence. One time when he threw it, I hit it. There are two cameras next to each other, and the ball went right through the middle. My jaw dropped when I saw that. I couldn't believe it.

Far Cry starts off by solidifying the fact that the Jason is an ordinary guy who just likes
First of all, he was a great fighter, and was always useful in a battle, with his lightning powers and ability to fly. His ability to fly came useful in many situations. For example, when the bandit Sciron kicked him off a cliff, he was able to fly back up, and with a little help from Hazel, was able to defeat Sciron. He also took up the responsibility of being a leader while Annabeth was in tartarus. He himself even says that, “Jason had tried his best to act as the group's leader.”
Jason is a philanthropist who utilizes his own money to further the cause he believes in. Much of his generosity is focused on the SENS foundation.
In addition, Jacques also points out that the Duke and his men are terrorizing the natural order with their huntings of deer, “yea, and of this, our life, swearing that we / Are mere usurpers, tyrants” (2.2.63-64). According to Edward Berry, the sport of hunting was an important part of “the life of the court”, and of the aristocratic households connected with it. It exists in a variety of modes and serves a variety of purposes, whether it be as simple as informal recreation and entertainment, as complex as court ceremonies, or as standard as survival tactics. Simultaneously, the Duke of Arden has the similar impression about hunting when he suggests to “go and kill and venison” (2.1.21). Jaques’s melancholy, however, embedded an immoral connotation
The way that he learned most of his English is by watching TV and listening to the commercials. One of the ways that you can tell that Jason’s younger sister did better in school, is how today she now works at Princeton University, and Jason works at the Berks County Prison, that just shows how well his younger sister did compared to him in school. A memory that Jason said has really stuck out to him and he still remembers is seeing a grocery for the first time, “I never saw so much food in one place in my entire life up to that time.” This quote shows how he struggled with food in the little village in China before he came over to America.
When discussing the poetic form of dramatic monologue it is rare that it is not associated with and its usage attributed to the poet Robert Browning. Robert Browning has been considered the master of the dramatic monologue. Although some critics are skeptical of his invention of the form, for dramatic monologue is evidenced in poetry preceding Browning, it is believed that his extensive and varied use of the dramatic monologue has significantly contributed to the form and has had an enormous impact on modern poetry. "The dramatic monologues of Robert Browning represent the most significant use of the form in postromantic poetry" (Preminger and Brogan 799). The dramatic monologue as we understand it today "is a lyric poem in which the speaker addresses a silent listener, revealing himself in the context of a dramatic situation" (Murfin 97). "The character is speaking to an identifiable but silent listener at a dramatic moment in the speaker's life. The circumstances surrounding the conversation, one side which we "hear" as the dramatic monologue, are made by clear implication, and an insight into the character of the speaker may result" (Holman and Harmon 152).
