Friends must do better than just making a blind suggestion for dating one another in relationships because it can have bad consequences. In “This American Life” 347: Matchmakers, is about finding a perfect match to spend life with. Jane Feltes agrees to go on a date with a guy who was recommended by her best friend Ray and turns out totally an expected. After receiving repeated text masseges from the guy for being late he showed up 10.p.m. he was silent not speaking very much nor paying attention to what Jane had to say. Worst of all he let Jane pay the restaurant bill which looked really annoying to me. Jane was very upset with her friend Ray who set this whole thing. The act that I really liked is “A Good Year For Grand Gesture” and it’s based on a true story about Sabir a yang man from Afghanistan who shared his love story. He meets this girl named Kodsea and falls in love, but don’t have money to marry her and gets help from his boss who he is driving for. …show more content…

They decide to move together and Miriam starts talking to Sabir while getting from point A to point B. along the road she finds out Sabir loves a girl but due to financial problem cannot marry her. At the wedding party of Nika and Miriam they come up with idea of gathering funds for Sabir’s wedding instead of gifts for their own wedding party. So, they send $2500 to Sabir through Dr. Wasi who is Sabir’s friend and translates for Sabir because Sabir doesn’t speak English allot. But money is always not solution to the problems. When Sabir discusses about getting marry to Kotsea, his family does not agree with him. His father says she is not a perfect match for Sabir. Than days passed no progress made in Sabir’s life than Miriam wanted to know what happened to their $2500 if Sabir didn’t marry
