Herobrine’s apprentice Jame’s was always in the mood for adventure; he liked to create mysterious contraptions that required some thought. So when James grew up, he traveled to the nether a lot to gather the necessary materials to make potions. It wasn't long before he had a state of the art potions lab in the basement of his parents’ farmhouse located in a plains area just a hop skip and a jump away from Stevenson’s ancestral manor. He inherited the house from his parents along with the farmland around it, but due to his interest in potions he had to renovate the lower level to include his lab. He even found a way to irrigate his land so that he could fuse gold with carrots and watermelon and use them for brewing purposes. On one of his …show more content…
trips to the nether he found a path and followed the it until he found a giant mansion built from nether brick and quartz. He knew no mob could create any structure at all, so he went on in to investigate. While admiring the large estate, he found a large library filled with books that seemed to be untouched. He looked over at one wall and saw that something had been thrown and stained the wall and carpet. He continued on and found a lab. It was bigger than his and he was amazed, but it also seemed like it has not been used for a while. He was looking through a chest and then he turned around to see a man who had glowing eyes that were full of sorrow. The man didn’t seem to see him until he looked up and was surprised. “No one besides me has set foot in this mansion, who are you?” “My name is James. I was out collecting resources, when I found a path leading here. I knew no monster could create something like this, so I came inside to investigate,” replied James. “Why would you be looking for resources in this fire pit?” “I brew potions.” “Ahh, I used to spend my time doing that, until the incident.” “What happened?” questioned James.
“Nothing you need to worry yourself about, if you ever want help, a place to stay, or if you wish to use my lab you are more than welcome. I could teach you a thing or to. My name is Hero, but most people call me Herobrine now.” “I’ve never heard of you. Why do they call you Herobrine?” “You’ve never heard of me? I'm not surprised, as to why i'm called Herobrine, I prefer to not discuss my personal life with someone who i’ve just met.” James nodded his head “I understand.” “On another note, are you hungry? I don’t have much, but i’m brewing a new batch of nether wart beer in the kitchen.” Herobrine said as he motioned to the kitchen with his hand. “I am rather parched. I’ve been walking in the land of fire for a while; takes its toll on a man .” James joked. Herobrine agreed with a hearty laugh, one of the first in his life. “And you got to remember to let the nether wart sit out for a hour before boiling into the beer,” explained Herobrine. “You're telling me all I need for this drink is lava, nether wart, and one magma cream?” Questioned James. “Thats correct James,” replied Herobrine. They both took a long swig of their
beverage.
"One whiskey for me 'an my friend" he muttered, sliding his glass across the counter towards the bartender.
Watching a film, one can easily recognize plot, theme, characterization, etc., but not many realize what basic principle lies behind nearly every story conceived: the hero’s journey. This concept allows for a comprehensive, logical flow throughout a movie. Once the hero’s journey is thoroughly understood, anyone can pick out the elements in nearly every piece. The hero’s journey follows a simple outline. First the hero in question must have a disadvantaged childhood. Next the hero will find a mentor who wisely lays out his/her prophecy. Third the hero will go on a journey, either literal or figurative, to find him/herself. On this journey the hero will be discouraged and nearly quit his/her quest. Finally, the hero will fulfill the prophecy and find his/herself, realizing his/her full potential. This rubric may be easy to spot in epic action films, but if upon close inspection is found in a wide array of genres, some of which are fully surprising.
The Hero’s Journey is an ancient archetype that we find throughout our modern life and also, in the world of literature.Whether metaphorical or real, the journey that a character goes on shows not only the incredible transformation of the hero but it also gives them their life meaning. It is the ultimate human experience and it reflects on every aspect of life. Take Logan, also known as Wolverine, from the X-Men movie as an example. His adventure starts with “The Call,” which is the first step of the Hero’s Journey. This step happens due to the realization of imbalance and injustice that the character has in their life. Logan steps into the first stage of the pattern but is hesitant to start his adventure because he does not know what and
What is a hero? Many people think instantly about, police officers, fire fighters, or perhaps a person that saves the day such as “Batman” or “superman”, but in reality a hero are not just people that save the day or other from harm. A hero can also be your parent, or parents that are there for you through your good and bad or even right and wrong days; or your brother or sister that perhaps worry about you and is determine to teach you well, this way you do not commit the same mistake they once did or saw growing up. The novel “In the time of the butterflies” the three sisters are known to be hero’s for standing up and sticking to their beliefs. But a hero is not only those that die for their country or others, it takes a
What is a hero? To our understanding, a hero is a person who is admired for great or brave acts. Joseph Campbell, an American mythologist, and writer wrote The Odyssey. In this novel he talks about The Heroes Journey which are twelve different stages of adventure known as the Ordinary World, the Call to Adventure, Refusal of the Call, Meeting the Mentor, Crossing the Threshold, Test/Allies/Enemies, Approach to the Inmost Cave, Ordeal, Reward, the Road Back, Resurrection, and the Return With The Elixir. The Odyssey is about a legendary hero named Odysseus, who fought among the Greeks in the battle of Troy and went through the stages of The Heroes Journey. Odysseus lived in Ithaca, Northwest of Greece, with his wife Penelope and son Telemachus.
The next day Claudio does exactly as he had said, degrading Hero in front of all her family and friends. Because she did not cheat on him, she did not expect that kind of reaction. She is so dejected that she faints, and everyone assumes she is dead. Eventually Borrachio is overheard talking about Don John’s plan, and Don John is arrested. Later Claudio learns that Hero is not actually dead, and they are finally married.
An English proverb states, “ A hero is a man who is afraid to run away”. I agree with this proverb, because when you see a hero in a comic book, they have super cool back stories, are not afraid to fight, and stare danger in the face and not blink. They are not afraid of anything. That’s nice to look up to, but they are not real. Our definition of a hero is too much for one man to become, you can do something honorable, heroic, but you will never actually be a hero because it's too much, in real life. Heroes don’t just do it so they can get paid, or respect. What really determines whether someone is a hero is if they choose to do something about it in a bad situation. We have people that do heroic acts, for example, people putting their lives before others. Those people cannot be heroes because they get paid to do it, they are, firefighters, cops, and military, they get paid to help people, so they aren't considered a hero.
Francis demonstrates he is a hero through his words ,thoughts and actions in this book, Heros by Robert cormier.
The Hero’s Journey is a pattern of narrative that appears in novels, storytelling, myth, and religious ritual. It was first identified by the American scholar Joseph Campbell in his book A Hero with Thousand Faces. Campbell also discussed this pattern in his interview to Bill Moyers which was later published as a book The Power of Myths. This pattern describes the typical adventure of the archetype known as The Hero, the person who goes out and achieves great deeds. Campbell detailed many stages in the Hero’s Journey, but he also summarized the pattern in three fundamental phases: Separation, Ordeal, and Return that all heroes, in spite of their sex, age, culture, or religion, have to overcome in order to reach the goal. Alice in Wonderland, written by Lewis Carroll, provides a good example of the Hero's Journey. This story describes the adventures of Alice, a young English girl, in Wonderland. Although she lacks some of the stages identified by Campbell, she still possesses many of them that are necessary for a Hero to be considered a Hero.
scenes which gives you the need to be one of the characters from the flick.
“A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.’’ This quote show that not every hero has to be on tv. Heroes can be an everyday people. In 1960 S.E. Hinton wrote a book called The Outsiders. Johnny is one of these people. Johnny came from a bad family and did not have a lot of money, but he still fought to help people, stood up for his gang and other people, and risked his life and protect people.
Quan is literally blowing up cities and cities so he can take over the world. Then we came, Burtis, Blex, and Bathan to destroy him. We have been training to become the strongest of them all. “Ha ha ha ha ha, im the greatest of them all” said Quan. “Not for long” Burtis replied. Then for a moment it got quiet, Then came the 3 heros and punched him in the face with good power. They were trying to test his strength. He was stronger than they thought. When they punched him he didn't even blink or flinch. For a slip second Quan attacks and hit the 3 heros like a bullet in the ground. Bathan powers up and uses his super speed to hit him 1,000,000’s of times just in a matter of seconds, but it was still nothing to him. Then Burtis uses his ultra
"Which will you have?" asked Stanley, leaning across very politely, and smiling at her. "Which will you have to begin with - strawberries and cream or bread and dripping?"
"You look like you want to ask a quesiton, so you might as well ask it while we have some relative peace and quiet" He stated, his focus going to his food as he continued to eat, though his ears were all for
