Who is Jack the Ripper? "The story of Jack the Ripper is one of those dark chapters in history that continues to fascinate and terrify us." Howard Blum The story of Jack the Ripper is not just a historical mystery, it is a mystery that has captured people's attention for more than a century and it still does. In the autumn of 1888, the poor streets of Whitechapel, London, became the bottom of a series of murders that caught the world's attention. The victims, mostly poor women, were killed, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions. Despite investigations and many suspects, the true identity of Jack the Ripper remains unsolved. The proof of Kosminski's proximity to the murder places, his history of mental illness, and the times placing him near the locations of several murders. Additionally, the discovery of a stained and bloody shawl at the scene of one of the murders, which was later found to contain DNA matching both Catherine Eddowes and Aaron Kosminski's descendants, provides more evidence linking Kosminski to the crimes. While there are still questions about the mystery and how some murders happened and who did it, Kosminski is a strong candidate for the identity of Jack the Ripper in this scenario. The first outcome is also less likely to be because John Samuel Humble was a suspect in the Jack the Ripper case due to letters and an audio recording he sent to the police. There was analysis that revealed that there are no identical handwriting and linguistic punctuations between Humble's letters and those believed to be from the Ripper. Additionally, DNA evidence excluded Humble as a suspect. Also a psychological analysis suggests that Humble's false claims to be Jack the Ripper may have stemmed from a desire for attention, validation, and a challenge to authority. This weakens the credibility of Humble's claims and suggests that his involvement in the crimes is unlikely. This is why the most likely outcome is to have Jack the Ripper be Aaron
