"I am down on whores and shant quit ripping them until I do get buckled,” (Pulditor 48). That statement was sent from Jack the Ripper himself to Scotland Yard, a detective in the case. Jack the Ripper was a horrendous serial killer that preyed on prostitutes in the late 1880s (Pulditor 45-47). Mary Ann “Polly” Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Kate Eddowes, and Mary Kelly are five of the prostitutes’ murdered by Jack the Ripper (Anderson 10-51). Although the true identity of Jack the Ripper has never been identified, experts have investigated Prince Albert Victor, Thomas Neill Cream, and Montague John Druitt as prime suspects.
Whoever may been a victim of bullying or are the bullies was once a kid and they believed in something with all their heart, maybe it was that they didn’t like how smart you are, your clothes, or how you talk. It’s how they feel towards you to make them not like you. And they use to have friends, friends they can hang out with, talk to and just be these themselves with, but when they started being bullied for being different they’re friends not hanging out with, talking to them and don’t want to be friends with them because they’re afraid to get bullied just like just like that person. And it’s hard for people like that to survival if they’re just getting picked on by students or adults. You think “it’s just a phase, they’ll come out of it” or “they just need to talk to people to get them to notice them”, but it’s not that it’s they don’t feel like they fit in with everyone because everyone is very different form them and when they try to talk to people they
Although bullying itself can be violent behavior, often times violence is an actual after effect of the harm done by the bullying. Because of the depression or low self esteem after a bullying incident, both bullies and victims sometimes feel the need to lash out violently in order to handle the situation at hand. Although this is not necessary, in some minds this is the only way to handle a situation. These violent lashes can often lead to more serious violence and even illegal activity that could end in criminal charges. One clear cut way to avoid some of these major violence issues is to know how to handle the
Even till this day no one truly knows the origins of Black Jack. Though most agree it originated in a French casino around the 1700’s. Should also be noted that Spanish and Roman had similar games but the most prevalent theory is that the French created the modern black jack game we all know today. Vingt-et-Un refers to the French word for 21 though the games rules might have changed the concept remains the same player to get closets to 21 wins.
Bullies often have an agenda that leads them to bully. A bully tries to “shame and intimidate their victims and make them feel inadequate” (Rosenthal 16). The reasoning behind this is that children often learn their habits from parents if they use aggressive language or have an aggressive behavior. Often children do not have a mother or father figure to guide them or teach them how to behave properly and this affects them in the long run. More bullies than non-bullies live without two biological parents; some live with extended family or foster families. Many do not receive a lot attention at home causing anger in some children. Some kids live in bad areas and are used to violence around them and use this against other children, leading to guns in school. Bullies often deliberately go out of their way to put others down and usually to make themselves feel better for not getting what they want at home. Sometimes it’s the complete opposite, and children get whatever they want from their parents and they feel that they can make fun of others inferior to them. Just like popular girls or boys that feel it is ok to make fun of students that aren’t popular. Many bullies were once a victim either at home from family, or at school from other classmates. The ...

In “The Arrest of Arsene Lupin” by Maurice Leblanc, Monsieur d’Andrézy is discovered to be Arsene Lupin. The name he is impersonating had died three years ago, which uncovered his lies. The camera also proves that Monsieur d’Andrézy is truly Arsene Lupin because the pearls and money are found inside the camera. “In the hollow centre of the small object...it was there I had deposited Rozaine’s twenty thousand francs and Lady Jerland’s pearls and diamonds.” The narration did not cheat the reader; personally, it kept me intrigued to find out who is Arsene Lupin. The chronological order the story is told corresponds to its genre. “The Arrest of Arsene Lupin” is based off mystery, and suspense to allow the clues to the solution of the mystery to
This is not always true. Certain people who bully have healthy self-esteems and countless friends, which is why they are so formidable. In addition, it is falsely believed that people who witness the situation desire to stay out of it (3). Furthermore, Cooper and Snell state that bullying is not the same as boys being boys. In addition, certain school authorities also falsely assume the definition of bullying is common knowledge. After all, “Bullying can often be difficult to distinguish from normal conflict and rough play. A study of the ability of lunchtime supervisors to distinguish students ' play fighting, or "rough-and-tumble" play, from true aggression found that the adult supervisors were more likely to mistake aggression for play rather than the other way around (Boulton, 1996). In fact, they made errors in one out of four episodes. Adults need help recognizing bullying” (“BULLYING--Not Just a Kid

Nobody likes a bully. A parent doesn’t want their kid to be a bully either, but they also don’t want them growing up to be a wimp either. Now teaching them how to be tough? That can lead them to trying to assert dominance over other kids to prove their toughness and by extension turning them into a bully. This is their sense of right, since they know no other way of coping with these kinds of suspicions. It’s like they only know how to live on top so they will only settle for the top.
