Oshihma Is an island in Japan just over a kilometre long. There are no cars, no gas stations, no shops, no snack bars. There live only 22 people and 120 cats in a small fishing village. They were brought here during the Second World War for the struggle with mice and today the island can rightly be considered the cat island.
Tourists visit this paradise in crowds and claim that it is better than ten psychotherapy sessions. Are there fans who paush among you or do you have pause. Then this island is right for you.
3. Christmas Island near Australia is also called the Island of crabs. Because of the annual migration of 100 million red crabs during the mating period. The island is about 4 square miles and is today a place for tourism in the great lakes. Many thousands of years ago though this was a little piece of land with bluffs reaching high above its surroundings and was a merely a small piece of land surrounded by water. It was because of these bluffs the appearance of the island resembled a turtle and led to it being named “The Great Turtle” (Piljac, 1998).
