Is North Korea A Dystopian Society

166 Words1 Page

North Korean society is just like a dystopian society, when you hear the word dystopia you would think of a society where the government controls its citizens, a society where there is no freedom, no independence, and no personal thought, where the citizens are not to question the government.
North Korea is a dystopia because the government has put strict rules and punishments. For example: if you are caught leaving the country you would be killed, and if you are caught watching foreign movies you would be sentenced to a hard labor camp, also the government would have the citizens spy on each other and are told to report people who had said anything bad about the government or did something wrong so they can be tortured.
