Lord of The Flies. A book written in 1954, during the time of the Cold War. Is it still relevant today?

The book begins with a group of boys, on an island. They got on the island through a plane crash that was caused by the plane being shot down. The novel continues with two of the boys, Jack and Ralph, disagreeing about an important element in survival...FIRE. They disagree on if they should keep the fire in hopes of a rescue. After many deaths of the boys, Ralph’s power keeps going down and he slowly loses it, until all of the boys are in a disagreement over their rescue.In Lord of The Flies William Golding presents the idea that disagreements are going to be the main reason for corruption, however there have been many wars and disagreements where the world hasn’t ended.
The novel Lord of The Flies is still relevant today because there is still a very good chance of corruption of the world. One thing that could cause the world to be corrupt is any war that could happen in the future or is currently happening.
