Iris Recognition Technology
The Iris
Iris had many features which is used to distinguish one iris from the other. There was no genetic influence while developing the iris, this process is known as "Chaotic morphogenesis" which will occur during the seventh month of the gestation. Even twins will have different type of irises. The iris is secure behind the eyelid, cornea and will be aqueous, which means unlike the other biometrics as fingerprints..etc. The iris will not change in subject of age this will always remain constant till the death. The use of the contact lenses and glasses will have a little effect on the representation of the iris and this will not obstruct with the recognition technology. The below picture will show the variation of irises.

There will no two similar iris will exist, once an iris will come into being, then this will remain unchanged for the entire life. This iris is very difficult to falsify, and user do not need to make any physical contact with the device while capturing the image.
Process of recognizing Iris:
The procedure of capturing the iris into the biometric is made in three steps.
1. Capturing the image
2. Defining the location of the iris and optimizing the image
3. Storing and comparing the image.
1. Capturing the Image
The Iris image is just captured with the standard camera by using both the visible and the infrared light either by a manual process or an automated process. The camera is placed between three and a half inches and along one meter to capture the image. In getting the manual process the user must adjust the camera to get the iris in focus which needs to be in between six to twelve inches of the camera. This process is more manual and it al...

...yed as errors. The point at which the FAR and the FRR are equal are known as Crossover Error Rate (CER). If the CER value is lower than the system will be more accurate and reliable. If the Hamming Distance is .342 in the Iris Technology then it is nominal CER.
System Usage:
The usage of the iris technology is very fast. The capturing and the testing of the images is very fast, it must require some training. The glasses must be removed during the enrollment in the recognition system will ensure the best image will be captured without any reflections from the glasses or the lenses.
The comparison of the live Iris Code and the recorded Iris Code in the database may seem like a large amount of the data to process, but coming to reality this will take a very few seconds. The comparison speed is the speed of the processor it is not dependent on the size of the database.

Heterochromia Iridis is the Greek term for “differently colored irises”. More popularly known as just heterochromia, as the term is described two different-colored eyes that are on the same being. Heterochromia is most commonly found in cats. Instead of calling the condition heterochromia, the term often used for cats is “odd-eyed”. Along with heterochromia, however it has been supposedly known to be linked to other disorders, such as deafness making odd-eyed cats can be more vulnerable to. While heterochromia is usually present when the disorder; deafness is found, heterochromia in cats does not stimulate hearing loss than normally would, because how the mutation develops doesn't contributed to the linked condition, the certain breeds who are more susceptible to heterochromia along with the other associated disorder, and one known condition (hearing loss) linked to cats with heterochromia.
by the internal computers of the instrument, to create an image of internal body tissues. These images were then displayed on the screen for the user,
Now-a-day, biometric authentication system or simply biometric system, offers a reliable and user-friendly solution to the problem of identity management by establishing the identity of an individual based on “who the person is”, rather than the knowledge-based i.e. “what the person knows" or token-based i.e. “what the person carries” (Jain et al., 1999). The word biometrics is derived from the Greek words bios (meaning life) and metron (meaning measurement); biometric identifiers are measurements from living human body (Maltoni et al., 2003). Biometric system refers to automatically identify or verify an individual's identity based on his physiological characteristics (e.g. fingerprints, face, iris and hand geometry) and behavioral characteristics (e.g. gait, voice and signature) (Figure 2.1). Ancillary characteristics (also known as soft biometric) such as gender, ethnicity, age, eye color, skin color, scars and tatoos also provide some information about the identity of a person. However, soft biometric traits do not provide sufficient evidence to precisely determine the identity (Jain et al., 2004a). Biometric traits provide a unique and permanent binding between an individual and his identity. This “binding" cannot be easily lost, forgotten, shared or forged and free from making false repudiation claims. Biometrics offers several advantages over conventional security measures. These include
It is easy to think of biometrics as the future science technology are always happened in some fictions, associated with solar car and clones together. In fact, it has long history that people understood the basic principle and application of the biometric. Thousands of years ago, the people of the Nile basin used the biometric in everyday transactions (such as scarring, skin tone, eye color, height, etc.) for identification. Of course, they had no any automatic electronic identification system, or computer network, but the principle is similar.
Biometrics is described as the use of human physical features to verify identity and has been in use since the beginning of recorded history. Only recently, biometrics has been used in today’s high-tech society for the prevention of identity theft. In this paper, we will be understanding biometrics, exploring the history of biometrics, examples of today’s current technology and where biometrics are expected to go in the future.
When testing the twins research shows that there IQ different at first. Then after doing the IQ test a few times they began to rise and become closer to the same
The latest scanning of irises from a distance of up to 40 feet away. According to Carnegie Mellon University, their iris recognition technology can identify drivers from an image of their eye captured from their cars’ side mirror. Therefore, near future the micro insect drones that have iris scanning may facilitate the arrest of a criminal after escaping like spider robots in Minority Report.
The introduction of smart glasses will likely have both a positive and a negative effect on society. On the positive side, users of the glasses will be able to collect information where and whenever it is necessary, especially when they are unable to use their hands. This adds another factor of convenience that was never like bef...
The purpose of biometrics is to identify a person based on the measure of his anatomical and physiological characteristics. This concept is not new, its history dates back to 14th century when Chinese used footprints to identify newborns and divorce records. In the 1880s, Henry Faulds, William Herschel and Francis Galton were the first who conceived the idea of using biometric identification to guaranty the security in civil areas, like using footprints for criminal identification and fingerprinting t...
Once you have found your face shape, it is time to measure the pupillary distance, as well as the total width of your face. Measuring the face will allow you to pick the most suitable frames.
As the world changes, more and more people are forced to communicate to each other digitally, allowing technology to connect. On the way to move forward, people have discovered that technologies are not neutral rather it is infused with values and different ideas of creators, aim and influence of the users. On 2013 Google released a device which is beyond someone’s imagination called the “Google Glass”. In a conference Graham, T., & Sauter, T. (2013). explains Google glass as “ Google’s ‘Project Glass’ - a wearable computing device to be released this year - to feel out what some of the ontological implications of the imminent integration of augmented reality technologies into modern techno social hybrid societies may be.” The project Google Glass was introduced to the public earlier in the year 2013 which took all the people by surprise. People did not think a device that can be used to take a picture, video, surf the web, text someone or share pictures and videos instantly, not by using a phone, computer but by using a glass. Yes, the future has arrived. Now with this technology further in this essay I will be discussing on can a technology of “Google Glass” exist?, the advantages and disadvantages of the glass and controversies and whether there will be any impact to the people, will there be any possibility that they could be harmful. With this I will be discussing the advantage and disadvantages and the future of “Google glass” and then the key arguments against “Google glass”.
The eye color is a genetic biologic character in which is generally determined by pigmentation of the eye’s iris and the amount and reliance of the distribution of light that is enhanced by the stroma of the iris. According to In Siegel, & In Saukko, (2013), in human beings; the coloring of the iris differs from light brown to black which is dependent on the fact that, concentration of melanin in the iris pigment epithelium which is located at the rear of the iris, the melanin substance within the iris stroma is placed at the frontage of the iris and the cellular concentration, which consist of living cells of the stroma.
With these technological innovations anyone (that can afford it) can correct their vision no matter how damaged to perfect vision. (not finished)
