You ahve to make sure you get the cuntomer’s pjojects done on time and make sure that there are no mistake and eveything printed perfectly. What Eric likes most about the job is that he is able to meet many different people. This line of work attracts many different kinds of customers with many different personalities. Eric dislike how stressful the job is. You have to meet so many different deadlines for many different customers, it becomes difficult to keep up with. The biggest challenges are dealing with angry customers and making new, big sales. He said that not many people in this area are looking for big signs. Most of the customers are small businesses, churches or realtors looking for yard signs. The most significant reward is the feeling after you complete you job and your customers are very satisfied. The necessary rewuirements for an entry level job are basic design skills and the ability to talk to customers. The opportunity Eric has had in the job was the ability to go to Dubai to make a presentation on digital signage. The industry isnt changing much in the next few years. The concepts of the design are the same, however, things are becoming more digital. Eric said it is a bad idea to own your own design company, I comes with more more stress than it is worth. There is also almsot no upward mobility in this field. However, if you love designing things for people then persue this career. Eric said that it is very important , when designig, that you are consious about how the product is going to pre produced, How ill the colors come out? How will something cut? Does it need crop marks? Will it be visually pleasing?
Erik Nitsche is a graphic designer whose successful career spanned everything from corporate identity to packaging design. He left a mark during his sixty year career as a designer and had a distinct style when it came to design. He said himself that he “was a Swiss in the graphic arts.” He walked into well-known places and got work immediately (Heller.) Nitsche held this heritage responsible for getting him where he was. Even though he may not be as well known as other designers, like Saul Bass and Paul Rand, he is said to be their equal (Heller.) Overall, Nitsche was an art director, graphic design, photographer, package designer, and illustrator who was known for his posters, advertisements, logos, magazine covers, book designs, and more.

After being ranked 8th in the world and having a known name in the sporting industry, he was easily contacted and hired for designing sports/surfing magazines and advertisements. In the interview conducted by Designboom, Carson stated that he had no real formal training in the design world, resulting in a lack of knowledge in basic design content (i.e. grids, formulas, schools of thought, etc.) (Designboom, 2014). But, with his early interest and education in sociology, and his Bachelor of Arts degree, he is easily able to work with real stories, real people, events, and music. When Carson is given the brief article that he must design around, or the client’s idea pitch, he just designs what he feels is right (Designboom, 2014). The more pieces he creates, the more experimental he gets. This act of fearlessness and adventuresome is what makes him such a desirable designer. Clients are confident that he will produce something unique, beautiful, and daring. Carson stated that his strongest skill is his “ability to speak visually and emotionally to a wide variety of audiences and topics” (Designboom, 2014). Carson has been in the design industry for many years and has worked with many varied clients, making his knowledge and level of creativity mastered. His curious, bold, and open-minded personality, plus his experimental, clever, and unique approach to design, has made the successful designer who he is
Before finally deciding on my career path, I had a very hard time trying to choose which path I wanted to take. After considering what I truly enjoy doing and what skills I possess, I have decided that I wanted to become a graphic designer. I want to be a graphic designer, because I feel that I would have a chance to use all of the skills I possess and be happy while doing it. In order to become a graphic designer, there are certain educational requirements that must be met. There are also specific job requirements that I must accomplish. Although there are many requirements, the personal benefits I gain will make up for all of the hard work in the end.
As I sat down with Jordan Fisher, on April 30th, we looked out the window to a gloomy, rainy day. It was wet and nasty day, but Jordan agreed to sit down with me to discuss his position as an HR officer. Jordan started with the Federal Government, 30 years ago at the age of 20. Now 50 Jordan is looking forward to retiring with his wife, stating “I enjoy it here, I really do—but I can’t wait to retire.” While Jordan plans to work for one more year before retiring, the knowledge and experience that he has gained from the position will never leave him. For my experience in this field I went in and interview my dad and asked him about something’s that he does around the office and what the big part of his job is and he explicated. I found out that there are very high risks in this job because you are handling people’s money, when sometimes this is the customer’s whole life savings going into your hands to try to make money. This would work well with me because I am very good with numbers which, leads to being really good in math. From the interview I also learned that you have to be a people’s person because most of the job is trying to get people to let you handle their most in return for a commission or a part of the money that will be made. I learned that this job will be me sitting at a desk for most of the day and sometimes sitting down with old customers or new customers deciding what route they want to take with their money. I liked that my dad is very dexterous or skillful.

Designers consider the fonts, images, colors, and layouts to make sure that none of the items clash in a bad way. One must do all of this while also making sure not to intrude on any copyright laws. If a designer were to break a copyright law, he or she could be fined and sued for a very large sum of money. A designer could use pictures from public domain or even take pictures for themselves
