Input Devices
Input devices are used all around the world on a daily basis and affect our lives more than many people realize. They are classified as any machine that is used to enter data into a computer. One of the most common types of input devices was used to type this paper, a keyboard. There is so much more to this common device then you notice at first glance. Another input device that consumes much of our world is the modern day smartphone. There are very few people around that do not have access to this high tech device. The smartphone mechanism itself contains multiple different inputs. There are many inputs that people will go their whole life not using or maybe not realizing they had access to. These people aren’t even getting full access of their device and the smartphone is still considered an amazing machine. The future for input devices is also predicted to keep improving. There may even be a new technique that involves a continuous flow of input, rather than the single stream of input that is currently in function.
Input devices are known to be the physical equipment used to enter data into computers. In turn the information that has been entered into the computer hardware equipment is then displayed using an output device. The output device is most commonly the display or screen of a computer or smartphone for example. Input devices can be classified in multiple ways. There is the modality of the input which is most commonly audio, visual, or mechanical motion. The second classification used is the degrees of freedom involved. Some examples of degrees of freedom would be two dimensional or three dimensional navigation. Two dimensional freedom is most commonly known as the mouse. Three dimensional navigation woul...

The “Input-Output” principle means basically that all input devices get the information in and the output devices show the result.
In the article “Our Cell Phones, Ourselves”by Christine Rosen published by W. W. Norton in 2004, she explains about how technology came about and is now taking over today’s world. Just by walking down the street today, it is visible that in everybody’s hands there is a
Cell phones in hand, and laptops so small they fit in purses. Computers at our homes insure we can get on the internet and surf the web for answers for anything that may need to know. As the growth of technology has evolved the past twenty years we have become more dependent upon it for everyday things. From alarms, calendars, ‘googling’, counting our steps to make sure we stay healthy, connecting us to our friends and family; simple things that we often take for granted. Though our lives are often ruled by the various technology pieces out there to keep us ‘grounded during the day, some pieces of technology are not healthy for our bodies and minds.
There is no doubt that the technological advances in recent years have changed the way we live. We are now able to talk to people in any part of the world within six seconds, we can watch events from any country such as the Olympic Games live on television screens in our own living room’s, we can even have interactive video conversations through as small a device as a mobile phone. These advances have benefited millions of people worldwide but we have reached a stage where it is now time to stop and think of what is happening to us as a result of all this automation and modernisation; we are becoming over-dependent on electronic devices to carry out simple tasks, we are becoming less and less aware of
Technology is something that seems to bring people together, but in reality can bring people farther away when technology not optimized for certain groups. Many groups are left out of new technology, especially the deaf and elderly. These groups deserve technology just as much as people the technology is originally geared towards. Technology is meant to bring people closer together not isolate groups from each other. However, despite the technology not being fully optimized for these groups, it has had some advances in the past years. These include facetime and text messaging for the deaf community and the ability to customize the phone to make it easier for the elderly to read and use.
We have come to rely on our I-Phone, I Pad and, tablet among others to influence the running of our daily routine. We use advance machines to communicate, educate, entertain and service us with everyday tasks. This latest additional technology allows us to: wake at the correct time, listen to music, play games, watch videos, ' surf the net,' perform tasks and communicate with others.
This lecture also gives information about what is input., what are the input devices, and what is the importance of input devices. After this lecture about computer hardware, I feel that I have neglected the most important element about understanding the computer hardware and how an input devices functions.
Technology has, since the primitive years, always been used to invent tools in order to solve problems. This would, in turn, simplify and make man’s life easier. Through advancements in the field, man has become more efficient on both the macro- and microscopic level. Anything nowadays can be attained with either the flip of a switch or a click of a mouse. One particular technology that came about in this time was the smartphone. Since 2008, the smartphone, a device that combines a normal cell phone with a computer, typically offering Internet access, data storage, e-mail capability, etc. all in your hand was deemed as ground-breaking technology and created one of the largest and most competitive market in terms of technology to date. Their increased popularity continued to grow and today, it is very hard to encounter someone without a smartphone. These devices allow people to disconnect from reality and grant them access to the world as a whole. People use these devices to manage their daily routine, dictating what they should do and when they should do it. The capabilities of this device had been unheard of before their time. However, is there more to this technology than what has been made aware to their owners? We have become overly obsessed with these devices that it has impacted our humanity – our interaction with others and society. Since its upbringing, the invention of the smartphone has come to negatively reinvent the way people go about their daily lives because we have become detached from society, let these smartphones govern our lives, and have become obsessed with these devices.
We currently live in a digital age world. A world where technology is the forefront of how we function in society. One technological factor that is well utilized in many places primarily the U.S is the smartphone. This is a device that is portable meaning it can fit right in your pockets. Although as diminutive as it may seem, this device is immensely powerful in many aspects regarding human use. We use this for communication, entertainment, jobs/careers and various other methods. It’s keen to say that this device does a lot for our civilization in productivity and efficiency. Although many would say it has definitely shifted how people interact and function without the use of it. Not many are able to hold a conversation or last seconds without
Technology in the twentieth century is quickly evolving, through rapidly changing innovations. Although, the term “modern technology” is often associated with present day, “modern technology” has quickly become obsolete in a matter of months. Furthermore, the evolution of computer components has become more hi-tech, offering more up-to-date hardware to be used in our everyday life. A keyboard is a piece of computer hardware comprised of a set of keys similar to a typewriter. Although, additional keys are offered to the computer keyboard; standard keyboard entries are imputed in QUERTY format. Keyboards are the driving force of data entry in computers; alongside the innovative speak to text device and scanner. Advanced keyboards have developed wireless capability that allows use from a distance. The modern technological development of the laser projection keyboard has offered access to mobile devices (smart phones, tablets etc.), provides enhanced user convenience, and has opened the door to further developments in technology and data input.
“You can avoid reality, but you can not avoid the consequences of avoiding the reality” (Ayn Rand, 1905-1982). In Moth Smoke by Mohsin Hamid, the air-conditioning is one of the most significant details in the novel that represents some of the themes that Hamid wants to emphasize. Besides jewelry, enormous house, and high-priced car air-conditioner is one of the elements that distinguish wealth from poverty. More than that, one of the reasons why Mumtaz falls in love with Daru relates to the air-conditioner. That air conditioner not only produces cool air but also generates the hot air is compelling because it represents some dualities that exist in the novel. Also, despite making people feel more comfortable during hot weather, air conditioner is artificial, which is similar to some relationships as well as some perspectives in Moth Smoke.

Computer system hardware components are the tangible, physical equipment that can be seen and touched (Ambrose, 2005, p. 10). For this reason, assembling the right computer hardware requires an understanding of computer hardware and software interdependent relationship and their functions as listed below.
We all use output devices in our normal day to day life, most of us use them a lot more than we may realize now that we are in school. An output device is any processing equipment used to communicate the results of data carried out by a computer or other processing devices which turns information into an easier form for us to read. (Wikipedia).
...of input device. As I read and reflect on the vast and varieties of input devices, I now realised its importance of mankind as it brings enormous advantages to us. As a conclusion, input device is a part of computer hardware. It allows users to enter and give instruction to be able in process into the computer system. An input device has improved so much with time. It is substantial to say that people of this generation cannot live without those input device. Input device have not only made our life easier but it also helps in easing our financial and time. For example, the innovation of recent popular application, Wechat. This application is designed for those who are illiterate. People can just touch the ‘hold to talk’ button and says the word out. Then, release the button, the device will record down your voice and sent it out. This will be much easier for them.
