This world we live in today is very exciting. Things are progressing in technology, so naturally technology related discoveries are being found everyday of every year. One of the things that is growing in favor is the idea of faster transportation, even faster than we have today. We have planes, cars, trains, and busses but sometimes, people want to take ideas to the max. That is where Elon Musk and the SpaceX company comes in. They want to create a product of transportation so revolutionary that it could take you from one side of California to another in under 30 minutes. The product I'm talking about today is the Hyperloop.
The Hyperloop is an extremely crazy idea that could only be thought up by one person and that one person is non other than Elon Musk. He and his team from the company, SpaceX is developing the Hyperloop for shorter travel times so the general public can get places faster. If you are not familiar with SpaceX, they are the company that made the reusable rockets that land vertically and the Tesla brand cars that run on electricity. It travels in a vacuum system being powered by solar panels. The Hyperloop cars have motors on it which will take guests over 700 miles per hour. Since the motors are run by the solar panels, it will probably never run out of energy unless there is overcast weather but I think there could possibly be some kind of back up energy system. But about the cars that hold people, it is basically a set of pod like trains that can hold about 20 to 30 people at a time. From recent tests in the Hyperloop, it makes a loud scratching noise which will probably be irritating to the people of the general public who ride it. But you still have to know that it is still in its early stages of production so it will probably be fixed later
The focal point of Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse-Five is the devastating fire-bombing of Dresden in World War II, an event which was experienced by the real-life Vonnegut as well as the fictional Billy Pilgrim. Through the novel, Vonnegut renders his account of an occurrence which is, in itself, indescribable. In order to tell this story to the world, Vonnegut uses Billy Pilgrim's Tralfamadorian experience as a window that allows the reader some relief from the horrors of war. According to the author, the war was a traumatic experience which is virtually impossible to describe. As Vonnegut says in the introduction, " . . .I thought, too, that it [the novel] would be a masterpiece or at least make me a lot of money, since the subject was so big . . .but not many words about Dresden came from my mind then"(Vonnegut 2).

The main character, Billy Pilgrim, is a very young infantry scout* who is captured in the Battle of the Bulge and quartered in a Dresden slaughterhouse where he and other prisoners are employed in the production of a vitamin supplement for pregnant women. During the February 13, 1945, firebombing by Allied aircraft, the prisoners take shelter in an underground meat locker. German imperialism, though mainly isolated to Africa it has had a colossal impact on the world as it is today. The effects of their policies, atrocities and advancements cannot be measured.(Lynn pg.20) The effects they had stretch from directly influencing the First World War, and as minuscule as reorganizing world borders. Their massacre of indigenous peoples at Woohvi, and other colonies taught the world what monsters can lay beneath a clean cut surface. Also their advancements in military tactics and technology as well as trade and commerce are still models that people look to today. It was for the good of the fatherland they said, but is the advancement of a culture truly worth the loss of another? This was not a question the Germans asked of themselves when laying waste to the culture and peoples that had the misfortune of residing in their African holdings.
Germany has many benefits and disadvantages forfrom being the country who took over parts of Africa. Some of the benefits include farming and mining, those two occupations improved a lot. Additionally, more modern facilities were being created to import and export goods. This made Germany more advanced. Even primary and secondary schools were being built to better the German education. To keep Germany safer and cleaner, many hospitals were being set up. On an important note, the Maxim Gun was used in Germany’s favor. They used this against the Africans whoand they did not have this advanced of technology. The downsides to Imperializing Southwest Africa is that when Germany made a treaty with some countries in East Africa, Germany did not get all of the land that they desired. Germany had much more power over Africa. Imperialism is great for the world. It would not be like it is today if Imperialism did not shape it how it is currently. INTRODUCTION In December 2001, Dean Kamen of Segway LLC unveiled the Human Transporter HT. With lofty ideas of replacing the automobile and unrealized sales forecasts, Kamen's Segway HT has not moved mankind nearly as much as Kamen had expected. With an annual CEO change since the start-up, it is apparent that Segway's lack of a stated vision and mission is haunting the organization. The lack of "a way ahead", coupled with a less than well defined marketing strategy, has caused Segway to fall short of Kamen's expectations.
For now the more use are the airlines, buses, or trains. Many people use the airlines to travel to one place to another, and by building the railway it will decrease the number of people who ride the planes and it will decrease the amount of people traveling in car, too. The railway is not only going to decrease the amount of people traveling in planes, cars, or bus but it will also decrease the amount of time people take to travel in this kind of transportations. A reporter says, “Texas central is planning to build a bullet train route that cut between Dallas and Houston, Trimming about 2 hours off the average driving time, and saving over an hour compared to air travel” (“Proposed”). The railways will cut time for passengers to get to their destination but it will have a bad result later on. Some people agree on building this train because it will be faster to get to one place to another, but they are wrong because it will take costumers away from other transportations, and it will have an impact in the increase of how much each ticket cost. It will destroy land from does that live there. Researchers have found that railways benefit economies by bringing competition to transportation because people will be able to choose from all the varieties. The Researchers are wrong because airline will not have the same amount of people as they do before the high-speed train is build. Not only the airlines but bus stations because people will not notice other transportation. The airlines, the cars, and trains companies will change things from their transportations because they will want to be better than the railways. For example, technology or even the ticket prices. All they would want is to be better than the railway, causing more and more competitions, which means people will expand more on buying the transportation

If cars had never been invented, how would you get to school on time?
