Hating on Spongebob It’s clear that some people don’t enjoy watching Spongebob Squarepants. Haters tend to say that spongebob is homosexual, it’s for little kids and that it is uninteresting. I am here to defend why Spongebob Squarepants is none of those things. Spongebob and Patrick specifically isn’t homosexual because the director didn’t state that, some episodes may look rather not appealing, but the writer only made the episodes like that to make it funny for the audience. Haters say it’s for little kids, it isn’t because I’ve noticed that it is enjoyed by all ages, it makes every age group delighted, but mostly children. They also say it’s not interesting (boring) , I highly object to that opinion because the characters in Spongebob Squarepants are adventurous, funny and unique, unique because they all have their own personality that makes the show amazing and enjoyable. …show more content…
The show isn’t boring because of how Spongebob is very kindhearted and he sees the good in everyone, how Squidward tends to get annoyed by everyone and things that doesn’t have to do with his preferences, how Mr.Krabbs is greedy and cheap, how Sandy is very smart and loves to take risks and go on fun or educational adventures, how Plankton tend to always try to steal the krabby patty formula but fails miserably, and how Patrick is not knowledgeable but is a good example of a true best friend to Spongebob.
Some episodes of Spongebob may contain hidden messages that is intended for older audiences that have to watch it with children, for example, one episode was when Spongebob was in the bathroom with Gary, he showed him some soaps and said “don’t drop
it”. It would be considered to fall into the category of being homosexual seeing that that phrase originated from behind bars between homophiles. Spongebob isn’t realistic and it is very odd, for example, a pineapple under the sea, Mr.Krabbs daughter, Pearl, is a whale and a astronaut squirrel, Sandy, living under water, although it isn’t real it makes the show a lot more interesting to watch because you’re going to be intrigue on how they made the setting like it is. Those are just a few reasons on why Spongebob isn’t homosexual, for a certain age group or uninteresting. It was meant to be enjoyed by everyone, so we shouldn’t get influenced about the negative comments about the show, it’s such a successful show that they made two movies on it.
SpongeBob SquarePants is accused of killing his boss Mr. Krabs; we are here to prove that SpongeBob is innocent. SpongeBob is a kind sponge that works at the Krusty Krab as a fry cook. We will prove that he handles all the cooking utensils thus his fingerprints will be found on these items. Witnesses place SpongeBob at the Krusty Krab before Mr. Krabs' death. SpongeBob admits he was in the restaurant, and that they had an argument, and that he became so angry he quit his job and left. However, Mr. Krabs was still alive when SpongeBob left the restaurant. We learned that Plankton paid off the pineapple loan. Why would he do that and where did the money come from? The defense contends that Plankton is somehow involved in the death of
The cartoon of the yellow sponge living in a pineapple under the sea was never meant to be a kid’s show. Au contraire, the show was meant to air on Adult Swim, a television network for viewers 16 years and older. The Sponge had a test run, but because of the low rating it was transferred to the kids’ networks. Of course, our dear children, innocent and ignorant of the hidden message inside the moving images, loved it. In this case “Bikini Bottom” is SpongeBob’s home town, an inappropriate name of a setting for a children’s cartoon. This shows that the transition of the show from Adult Swim to Nickelodeon had no change on SpongeBob Squarepants, whatsoever. Meaning, many other sections of the show are likely not meant for children’s eyes or ears. This show is degradation for young minds and their mental and physiological development and should not continue to be aired.
When Jerry Falwell's conservative paper "outted" Tinky-Winky (the purple Teletubby) as being gay, fans of the Teletubbies television series usually fell into two camps: those who supported Tinky-Winky as a positive gay character and those who maintain Tinky-Winky has no developed sexual identity. A few unfamiliar with the BBC/PBS show asked the question, "how can you even tell if Tinky-Winky's male?" Brushed off by most fans as a naive inquiry, this concern does merit discussion. How do we, as television viewers, determine gender identities for non-human characters? How is this complicated for children's characters?
There have been many cartoons in the past fifty years. All of which had a wide range of variety and success. Out of all of these shows, there have been few to become as popular as Spongebob Squarepants. Spongebob has won many awards over its ten year long show time. These are only a few reasons why it’s the best cartoon.
Would you believe that much of your entertainment is filled to the brim with encouragement for the use of drugs, sexist behavior, and even slavery. It is important to recognize the hidden subtexts in our entertainment because many of them have very dark hidden meanings that may be subliminally sneaking into your conscious if you are not aware of it. For example Scooby Doo, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, and even Shakespeare's classic play A Midsummer Night's Dream are all examples of media with hidden subtexts.
At the beginning, they were completely targeting children, however the audience has changed to adult children. In some of the varieties, children may be targeted slightly, but in the original form, there is no attraction for children in the cereal aisle at the grocery store. At the beginning, the box was full of toys, comics, prizes, and cartoon characters. However, there was a slight transition where it was targeted at mothers when it was shown that toddlers eat cheerios. Then it quit targeting children completely and began promoting health and other adult aspects like military support and motherhood
I think many ways young children could acquire knowledge and watching these types of programming could be a way for them to learn. These types of shows intrigue young children and I believe that these shows have a lot to offer for young children. Commercial and public programming both has the same goals of promoting social-emotional to young children. They want to make sure children understand and manage their emotions the right way, develop social skills, how to share, learn about the past, and many more. In the show, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood His pet fish died but his parent told him that it is okay to be sad but there are ways that he could feel better. They claim that asking questions, drawing, and doing something you enjoy doing will help. I believe that their goal in this episode was to understand and manage emotions because it introduces different ways children could deal with similar situations. These shows are also promoting social skills that are necessary for school and life. I believe that it is important for young children to watch these types of shows because they will acquire knowledge and at the same have fun

You know from watching Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. with your kids, how much they love Spongebob Squarepants. Moreover, you know that sleepovers are fun. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts also know this, which is why they are advertising this Spongebob Squarepants sleepover party package.
While viewing this film, most of the audience may not be as fortunate and sophisticated as Phillip and Brandon were, but we all have the same rights as they did within the freedom of our own happiness. Between the two main characters, one is egotistical and the other a self-assured psycho. It’s clear that the two men shared a close homosexual relationship. Although, nothing is said straightforwardly, the snippy attitude and at times, loving wordplay between Brandon and Phillip imply the intimate communication of lovers.
Homosexuality has been around for a long time. We know it has been around in some form or another for most of history. It reared its head in ancient societies like the Roman Empire and has survived to make its way into our present day world. Homosexuality has experienced many changes and different levels of acceptance depending on time and place. In the past few decades, this alternative form of sexuality has seen a huge growth in popularity. Though it is not fully accepted in today's societies, advocates are always fighting for homosexual rights. It remains a topic of varying acceptance.
The 1990s saw surge of gay characters in both television and movies. From Ellen Degeneres and her character Ellen Morgan coming out under much scrutiny on the TV show ‘Ellen,’ to Julia Roberts and Rupert Everett comedically playing off each other in the motion picture ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding.’ Sure, gays and lesbians have been around forever, especially in Hollywood. But never has there been a time to be more out. With the popularity of shows like Will and Grace, which feature leading gay characters, as well as Dawson’s Creek and it’s supporting character of teenager Jack McPhee, we are slowly seeing gay and lesbian characters creeping into the mainstream media.
Advertisers spend over two billion dollars a year on advertisements targeting kids. Televised ads are part and most of that money. These ads usually include kid friendly characters. These character could be like shaped macaroni and cheese. It's not like Kraft created Spongebob Squarepants shaped macaroni for adults ……. Right? Advertisers also using online kids games to get kids to ¨like¨ their twitter page in exchange for personal information. Have you noticed that kids always have their noses in a phone or tablet or TV? When kids see an ad on TV, they immediately think ¨ Oh my gosh that is so cool. Mom Mom Mom Mom Mom Mom MOM MOM MOM …. Can I have it please¨. I should know i'm a kid.
Not to mention, Adult Swim cartoons are the worst for a child. Those cartoons are strictly cartoons for adults, because they contain more mature content. With this in mind children will find a way to watch them anyway. Shows like Family Guy has extreme violence, profanity, and sexual references. In reality children will start fighting more aggressively, using profound words and phrases and make sexual references towards one another. The consequences are kids can pick up bad habits from watching cartoons that contain violent
